Community of the Greatest Name

Shoghi Effendi selected this site for the resting place of the Greatest Holy Leaf, and erected this beautiful white marble monument which speaks of his love for her, as a place of pilgrimage for all Bahais who visit the Holy Land. The monument has circular steps, slender columns and a dome lovingly decorated with garlands of marble flowers and an inscription in Arabic of some of the words of Bahullh which refers to her spiritual station. Shoghi Effendi has commented that the three elements of her resting-place are symbolic of the local, national and Universal House of Justice and the manner in which they relate to each other.
