12/26/08
The AT& T store was burglarized and cell phones were taken. This appears to be related to numerous
Cell Phone Store Burglaries in the City and County recently. The suspects were GOA. Grave yard
Officers Henry McClusky, Christopher Wright, Ben Spencer, and Troy Hawley did a tremendous
a.m.ount of follow up on this burglary and eventually identified a suspect and located a large a.m.ount
of evidence of this sort of crime. On 12/28/08 around 5:00 a.m., after a lot more follow up, they located
the suspect in a hotel room at the Days Inn (Watt/I-80). They arrested the suspect for burglary, felony
while out on bail, possession of a.m.munition by a felon, and possession of narcotic paraphernalia. This
investigation is ongoing.

Victims heard a loud bang and then hear cars leaving. When they woke up the next morning (12/26/08)
they noticed a bullet hole in their home. There were also two calls the previous night (406623/406625)
regarding gun shots heard in the area. No one was still there when officers arrived.

Officer Aquino determined there was a suspect (Ja.m.es Baxter 6/27/52) that had a DUI warrant for his
arrest. He located the suspect in the motel and also located some rock cocaine in the motel also. The
suspect was arrested for the warrant and fresh drug charges.

Officer Aquino stopped a car at the above location and located a handgun inside the car. The suspect
(Lito Lozano 5/28/87) was arrested on gun charges.
12/18/08
Victim was walking in her apartment complex when she noticed the suspect going through the
dumpster with his Black Chevy Suburban parked close by. She told the suspect it was private property
and he couldn't go through the dumpster. He began to argue with her. She went to her apartment, got a
piece of paper and wrote down the license plate number and called police. He got mad and grabbed her
cell phone from her hand breaking it in half. He took half the cell phone with him and left in his SUV.
Officers Trujillo, Lee, and Landberg followed up on the license plate and located the suspect and SUV
in the 3700 block of Belden St. (Del Paso Heights). The suspect (Quentin Perkins 3/25/62) was booked
for robbery.
Officer Martinez observed a white Olds. with a couple of subjects in it that walked inside of Carl's Jr.
He ran the plate and it ca.m.e back as a stolen vehicle. The suspect ultimately got away by going out
the back door of Carl's Jr. This investigation is continuing as we speak.
The car was actually stolen on Bridgecross on 12/3/08 as the owner left it running (warming up) in his
driveway at 8:30 a.m. as he went back inside his house.
POP Officers served a search warrant at the above address and located a sophisticated marijuana grow
with over 100 plants. The suspect (Ja.m.es Gordon 9/25/74) was booked for cultivation of marijuana.
3315 Northgate, Robbery
Gardenland/Northgate
On a previous email update I mentioned a robbery that happened in the above parking lot on 12/3/08.
Two juveniles were pulled into a van and robbed.
Yesterday we arrested Tony Johnson (7/29/85) for the robbery. Day shift Officers Villegas, Wilhite and
Garcia were able to determine who the suspect was as they were investigating a different burglary call
and remembered the description of this robbery. Working with Detectives - officers were able to make
this arrest. The investigation is continuing as there are more suspects involved.

Subject set his apartment on fire. The fire destroyed his apartment and burned the above apartment.
Officers evacuated the above apartment and the subject was taken to the hospital for his injuries.

Several people called police regarding a shooting in the above area. The callers stated two suspects
were shooting at a white van (Older van with Cone Shaped top and a thin Blue Stripe). The suspects (2
male black adults, 18-20 yrs, with hoodies and possibly short afro's) ran into the Del Verde Apartments.
Officers are still on this call but they have not found any victim's or suspects yet.

Elk Grove Police Department were in pursuit of a car that got off of I-5 at Arena and Ultimately
stopped in the parking lot of UTI. Our officers arrived as the suspect was stopping in the parking lot
and he was taken into custody.
12/11/08
Victim was walking on Stonecreek when he saw a White Chev. Lumina parked on the street. The car
had 3 male black adults inside and two male black adults standing outside. The car eventually drove
passed him. When he got to the above location, two suspects (sa.m.e as the ones standing outside the
car earlier) ca.m.e running at him. One had a gun and the other simulated a gun. The forced him to the
ground and took his shoes, pants, shorts, cell phone and money (leaving him in his boxer shorts). The
fled to the car and left the area in the white car. Susp#1 male black adult, 5'10", 150lbs, 19-20 yrs,
black zip up jacket, "fade" hair cut and holding a blue rag over his face....#2 male black adult 18-19
yrs, 5'9", 145 lbs, black hoodie, holding a white rag over his face.
Two employees were in the store...One was helping two customers when the suspect entered the store
with his face covered with a black handkerchief. At gun point he took money from the business and
fled on foot. He was described as male black adult, 20's, 5'9" to 5'11", wearing a dark sweatshirt,
beanie, gloves and a black handkerchief over the lower part of his face. He fled the area on foot but was
possibly related to a black sedan vehicle.
Victim (16 year old) approached the School Resource Officer on 12/12/08 to report the robbery. The
victim and 2 friends went to the liquor store at Truxel/San Juan and noticed the suspect looking at
them. They walked down San Juan when they noticed a White Honda Civic (tinted windows and dirty
looking) pass them a couple of times. Then the suspect (from the liquor store) ran up on the victim and
took his cell phone. The victim gave chase until he realized the Honda Civic was picking up the
suspect. The suspect was described as a Male Black Adult, 20's, 5'10", 165 lbs w/ sagging pants and
brown dreadlocks down to his shoulders. The driver was a male black adult with dreadlocks and the
passenger was a male black adult.

Suspect threw a rock through the front glass door of the store. He entered through the broken door and
took alcohol and left through the sa.m.e door. Susp: Male Hispanic 18-21, 5'10", wearing a black
hooded sweatshirt and black pants
Norcotic Detectives and POP Officers served a search warrant at the above apartment. They located a
large drug selling business. They recovered numerous kilo wrappers for cocain, numerous gra.m.s of
cocain, $20,000 in cash, scales and other things. Towed were a 2007 Mercedes and a Honda. Two
suspects were arrested for drug sales and one for felon in possession of a firearm. Suspects: Julian
Archuleta (8/12/75) and Gabriel Gonzalez (12/15/82)
12/9/08
Officers responded to the above address regarding a call of two people who were stabbed. Two people
(50-60 year old couple) were found deceased in the home. The investigation is still underway with
more details to follow.
Officers responded to the above location regarding a disturbance. One subject was arrested for parole
violation and transported to the Jail. The subject began tensing up in the Jail and ultimately found to be
having some medical problems. He was transported to the Hospital and later passed away. The cause of
death is still being investigated.

Victim was in his backyard and three subjects (victim described as looking homeless) were drinking
behind his house. One subject asked the victim for some food. The victim went into his house to get
some food for the suspect. The suspect followed him into his house and began punching and kicking
the victim. He also took the victim's knife and stabbed the victim. He took money from the victim until
the victim grabbed a pipe and hit the suspect with it. The suspect fled on foot. When the suspect ran out
of the house, the other 2 subjects ran with him. The suspect is described as Male Hispanic, 30's, red
shirt and blue jeans, 5'5", thin, with a beard and short hair. The other two subjects that were drinking
with the suspect were Male Hispanic.

Cell phone store was burglarized. The suspects took several blue tooth devices from the store. Possible
suspects are 4 male black adults driving a Silver PT Cruiser.

2:15 p.m., 3315 Northgate (Big Lots/Liquor Video Parking lot), Robbery
Northgate
Two 16 year old victims stated they were attempting to buy CD's from a couple of guys in a White
Astro Van (with Blue stripe). They were talking to the subjects in the van when the suspects pulled
them into the van and hit one victim in the head with a gun.The suspects displayed a gun and took the
victim's money and miscellaneous property. No. 1 suspect was a male black, light skin, hazel or green
eyes... No. 2 male black 17 years, a tattooed na.m.e on his neck.
12/1/08
Suspects entered and robbed the business at gun point. They took money from the register and fled on
foot. Both suspect's spoke with Russian accents and this appears to be related to the two previous
robberies mentioned on this update. One was 11/19/08 of the Mountain Mikes Pizza (1589 W. El
Ca.m.ino) and the other was 11/13/08 of the Pizza Hut (604 W. El Ca.m.ino). Suspect#1 described as
Male White, 16-20 years old, 5'6" to 5'9" and about 140-180 lbs. suspect #2 is a male white, 16-20 yrs,
5'6" to 5'9", 180-200 lbs-both with russian accents.See photo's from the surveillance system at Pizza
Hut and Mountain Mikes. If you recognize these suspects please call Sac PD.

11/30/08
15-yr old female victim was walking westbound on San Juan approaching Duckhorn. A white 4-dr.
Buick drove past her and parked in front of the apartment complex at Duckhorn/San Juan. The suspect
walked on the sidewalk toward the victim and asked her for her na.m.e. She ignored the suspect and he
grabbed her arm and kicked her in the leg. She fell to the ground and he grabbed her cell phone. The
white car then pulled up and the suspect got into the car. There were 3 other subjects (male black
adults, 18-20, all with dread locks) in the car. The car drove east bound on San Juan. The Victim ran
after the car and attempted to jump on the trunk. A friend of the victim then drove by and she got in
their car to follow the suspects. They eventually lost the suspects as they drove northbound on Truxel.
The suspect was described as a Male Black, 19 yrs, 5'5", 200 lbs, short dread locks, light complexion,
white t-shirt and blue jeans.
11/28/08
Victim was standing in front of business and a suspect asked if the victim had a light. Victim reached
into his pocket and the suspect grabbed the gold chain around the victim's neck and yelled out a gang
na.m.e. Victim punched the suspect and the suspect pulled out a gun. The victim ran and the suspect
shot the victim in the back of the leg. Another suspect was also seen with a gun in the area. The
suspects left the scene in a Black -possibly 2000 model Acura TL. Suspect #1 was a dark complexion
male black, 22-26 yrs old, 5'6" to 5'9", with a 1-2" afro wearing a black or red zip up sweatshirt.
Suspect #2 male black, 22-26 yrs old, 5'6" to 5'9", medium build, 2" "twisties" underneath red hat,
wearing a blck hooded sweatshirt.
All of these addresses had suspicious activity occur at their homes. Most of it was someone rang
the doorbell and then turned off the power to the homes at the circuit breaker. At one of them,
two male white subjects in dark hoodies were seen running from the home when one of the
residents ca.m.e home. Each of these homes have a teenage girl that goes to one of our local
schools so this could possibly be a prank.

Suspect(s) broke the sliding glass door and took the Beezer Office plazma TV
These two are most likely related but no suspect descriptions. Please call in any suspicious activity in
this area.

Two suspects (male white or male Hispanic) stole a landscaping truck and trailer. The truck is a white
2005 Extended Cab Full Size Chevy Pick Up. It has C&R Landscaping printed on the side in gold
letters. Was last seen headed toward Garden Highway.

Off. Ethan Hanson was working this area with Officer Scurria regarding the recent robberies. They
stopped a 14 yr old who was on probation. A probation search of his nearby apartment didn't reveal
anything other then his 14 yr old brother who had an attempt robbery warrant. The brother was the
suspect in a robbery in March at the Food Co at Northgate/San Juan. He was arrested and transported to
Juvenile Hall.
11/22/08
We placed one of our bait cars (the ones you see on t. v. where the suspect is captured on video
stealing the police department "bait" car) in this general area. Two suspects attempted to tow away the
"bait" car and were loading it on their truck when officers arrived. They were both arrested. Debra
Posehn (7/25/58) was arrested for auto theft and Phillip Pruitt (10/13/75) was arrested for auto theft and
probation violation.
11/21/08
Officer Chris Shippen was working the area in regard to the recent robberies that occurred in S.
Natomas. He attempted to stop a car. The front passenger fled from the car and ran from Officer
Shippen. He was caught about a short time later coming out of the River Court Apts (1621 W. El
Ca.m.ino) by Officer Shanna Hughes. Officers located a gun the suspect dumped on a grassy area
inside the complex and also his clothing he took off in order to disguise his appearance. The suspect
also had some marijuana on him. The gun was stolen in the County on 10/10/08. He (Danny Lee
Owens 7/1/87) was arrested for marijuana, possession of stolen property, gun charges, and resisting
arrest. Here is the interesting twist. On 11/13/08 S. Natomas experienced several robberies in this
sa.m.e area. One (364859) occurred at 7:53 p.m. at 3293 Azevedo Dr. in the laundry room. A suspect
robbed the victim at gun point in the laundry room and fled on foot. A short time after this robbery
officers located a suspect on Delgado Wy. He ran from the officers and hid in the bushes. He was
eventually arrested and identified as the suspect in this robbery. . . . . His na.m.e was Deangelo Owens
(10/2/90). He is the brother of Danny Lee Owens.
Victim hears tires skidding outside and noticed someone was stealing his car (Black Chevy Caprice).
He got into another car and followed the suspects. He lost them for a little bit and then found the
suspect inside his car on Gateway Oaks near Garden Hwy. He pulled up and confronted the suspect
(male black with shoulder length dread locks, 18-20 years old, 6'0", 175). At this time a Blue Chevy
Caprice Classic pulled up with the 2nd suspect (unk description). The first suspect went to the
passenger door of the Blue Chevy and pulled out a gun. He fired multiple rounds at the victim - hitting
his car several times. The victim sped off to get away. The victim's Chevy Caprice was still on Gateway
Oaks and was recovered. Suspects fled in their Blue Chevy in an unknown direction.
11/20/08
Victim advertised his car on Craig's List. He was to meet a possible buyer at the Woodbridge
Apartments. He had his 3 yr. old child with him. Suspect #1 approached (Male Black Adult 22-23 yrs,
6'2", 275, t-shirt and jeans with dreadlocks) and started talking about price. He went back to his truck
and returned with suspect #2 (male black 21 yrs, 5'8", 160 lbs, black hooded sweatshirt w/ purple
striping, short hair). Susp. #2 pulled a gun on the victim and took his money and cell phone. They
walked back to their truck and left. The truck is described as a White F-150 Extended Cab Truck with a
White lumber rack.
1 subject (male Hispanic) entered the cleaners and asked about some services and left. A short time
later the sa.m.e subject ca.m.e back into the store with 3 other people (male Hispanic, and 2 male black
subjects). They stated they had a gun (none seen) and demanded money. They took money and walked
out of the business. Officers Ley and Davis conducted extensive follow up with significant assistance
from the School Resource Officers (Martinez and Knecht). They identified 3 of the suspects and
ultimately arrested them in the afternoon around 3p.m.. 2 suspects were arrested in front of Natomas H.
S. and the 3rd suspect was arrested near the Carls Jr. at Del Paso/Natomas. The two suspects were 14
yrs old and one was 13 years old. They were all arrested for robbery.
11/19/08
Suspects robbed the store at gun point. Both suspects were wearing masks and gloves. The suspects
were described as Male White Adults and spoke with Russian accents. They are probably the sa.m.e
suspects that robbed the Pizza Hut (604 W. El Ca.m.ino) on 11/13/08 at 10:52 p.m..
11/18/08
The victims (Boyfriend & Girlfriend) were robbed at gunpoint by three suspects. The victim's were
forced to get into the trunk of their car. They were let out of the trunk by another person after the
suspects left. Later that night there was a shooting/robbery in Elk Grove and a car load of people were
pulled over in Elk Grove. The people in this car were identified as the suspects in this robbery and
some of our victim's property was located in the car. They were arrested and the investigation is
ongoing. They were all about 17 and 18 years old and some of them live in the North Area. They are
possibly related to some of our other robberies in the area. One of the 17 year old suspects (lives in
Natomas) was also arrested back in June in connection with some of our robberies that occurred in June
in Natomas.
Two people (husband/wife tea.m.) ca.m.e over to the victims house regarding a computer. The victims
know the two because they live across the street. The two people left and shortly after, the female half
ca.m.e back. She walked back into the house and was walking around when the victims realized she
was in the house. They confronted her and she said she left something. They told her to leave and she
did. A couple of seconds after she walked out, a male suspect entered the house at gun point and
attempted to rob the victims. The female victim screa.m.ed and the suspect fled out the front door and
into a red and white Chevy Blazer. Officer Hastings was looking for the suspect vehicle in North Sac
and observed the Blazer at Arden/Fairfield St. As he was following the Blazer he noticed the driver
shoving something under the dash board. Off. Hastings and several other officers stopped the vehicle
at Fulton/Loma Vista. The suspect with the gun and the husband/wife tea.m. were all in the Blazer.
Officers located the handgun under the dashboard and several baggies of marijuana. All three suspects
were arrested on Home Invasion, conspiracy, drugs and gun charges. The suspects were Porshe Banks
(12/4/82), Sean Owens (1/11/81), and Michael Richardson (6/5/81).
11/15/08
Three 14 yr. old victim's were walking in the area after coming from a friends house. They saw several
subjects in the ditch area smoking marijuana. The suspects asked them if they wanted some but the
victims declined. The suspects ran up behind them after throwing rocks at them. They chased the
victim's for a short distance and then grabbed one victim's cell phone and pushed him on the ground.
They took money from the victim's also. The suspects were described as 3 male black juveniles, 2 male
Hispanic juveniles and 1 male Asian juvenile. The male Asian suspect was described as 17 yrs. old,
5'9", 120 lbs, black shirt tied around his head with baggy black pants and shirt. One of the male black
suspects was described as 17 yrs old, 5'10", with a black hoodie.

7:40 a. m. , N. Bend/Blackrock, Suspicious Activity
Natomas Park
15 yr old girl was walking on the sidewalk with a small black pick up drove by with two male black
(16-18 yrs old) drove by. They made a u-turn and parked. One subject (Red shirt) got out of the car and
started walking behind the girl (about 25 feet behind her). He asked for her phone number, if she had a
boyfriend, said she was cute and a few other inappropriate things to her. She ran away and the guy
never ran after her. The victim did say he had his arms out as if he was trying to grab her. The young
lady did a great job of running when she didn't feel right.
11/13/08
Victim was walking on the sidewalk talking on his cell phone. Two suspects ran up to him from the
ditch and held a gun to him. The victim threw his cell phone and bag on the ground and ran. The
suspects took the property and ran the other way. The suspects were described as #1 male black, 20's,
5'10", 165, black beanie, black sweat shirt and black gloves, #2 male black 20's, 5'10", 150, all black
clothing.
Victim was in the laundry room of the apartment complex when the suspect approached her. He
demanded her phone while pointing a gun at her. He got the phone and ran away through the complex.
The victim chased the suspect until she heard a gun shot. She did not see the suspects fire the gun
because they were out of sight. A witness actually saw two subjects running from the area. Suspect
was described as a male black, 16-18 yrs, 5'8", 160-180 lbs wearing a black hoodie.
Victim parked in the parking lot and was walking to her apartment. The suspects shoved her to the
ground and demanded her cell phone. They didn't end up taking the cell phone but took her purse. The
suspects were described as 2 male black's-one wearing a yellow-ish zip up hoodie and both had ski
masks. The suspects were possibly driving a silver Buick Lesabre (or something similar) with a large
dent on the right rear passenger door.
Two suspects entered the business and demanded money. They took money from the counter and fled
on foot westbound on W. El Ca.m.ino. The suspects were described as #1 male white adult, 18, 5'9",
140, blond hair, white t-shirt. . . #2 male white adult, 19, 5'9", 200, dark hair and dark clothing. Both
suspects had heavy Russian accents and had their shirts pulled over their faces.
11/10/08
4 suspects entered the store and shopped for clothing for several minutes. Eventually 2 suspects
grabbed one of the employee's and another suspect pointed a handgun at the other employee. They left
the store with the clothing they shopped for (no money was taken). The suspects left in a Late 90's 4
door, Teal colored Lexus with chrome rims. The suspect's were described as 4 female black adults ages
from 19 to 27. One was wearing a ca.m.o. puffy coat with fur, another was wearing a black puffy coat.
14 yr. old victim was walking on the bike trail in front of Kohl's. Two suspects approached him and
asked if he wanted to buy some marijuana. The victim declined and they pushed him down and
demanded his I-pod. They went through his pockets and took money from his wallet and his cell phone.
The victim told them he wouldn't call the police if they gave back his cell phone so they gave it back.
The suspects were described as #1 male black, 16-17 yrs, "LRG" brand zip up hoodie, jeans with
red/blue design on the back pockets and black van shoes. . . #2. male black 16-17, 5'8", fat with a large
stomach and had a black BMX bike.

We have received several complaints about what goes on at this park (ie possible sex, drugs and gang
activity) by the Witter Ranch Community Alliance Association (ie Keith) and some of the neighbors.
Off. Hanson (and several other officers) have been checking this area regularly. Off. Hanson stopped
several subjects at this park after they ran a stop sign and then walked into the park after hours. He
contact three 17-year old subjects that got out of the car. One had some marijuana on him and didn't
have a drivers license. They were cited for loitering in the park after hours, possession of marijuana and
for driving without a license. Their white Honda was also towed. All three 17- yr olds lived in S.
Natomas.

Graveyard Officer Murchie observed a car attempting to evade her by turning off their lights and
driving extremely fast on Ford Road/Norwood in Del Paso Heights. Another officer eventually caught
the car and the car fled from this officers also. The pursuit went onto Northgate and turned onto Rio
Tierra. The suspect eventually drove onto Ca.m.arillo Dr which is a dead end. The driver (Richard
Ga.m.a 5/22/86) was taken into custody by the pursuing officers. He was a parolee at large and had
shaved car keys in his possession along with different I. D. cards (in other peoples na.m.es) and blank
checks. Some of the property was stolen in an auto burglary in Roseville. He was arrested for evading
officers, stolen property, possession of burglary tools, stolen car and parole violation.

Our Career Criminal Apprehension Tea.m. (CCAT) arrested the suspect (Sa.m.mie Lee Nichols,
4/14/90) yesterday at his Bail Bondsman at 800 H St. Nichols actually lives in S. Natomas in the
area of W. El Ca.m.ino and Truxel.
He was arrested by the Sac Sheriff's Department in the County after a pursuit. He was booked for
the pursuit, drugs, and possession of a firearm. Our detectives and forensics tea.m. connected him to
4 home invasions after his arrest by the Sheriff's Department.
You can follow this suspects court appearances on www. saccourt. com if you would like. I can tell
you that if he gets convicted of all of these crimes - he will probably never get out of prison. We also
continue to check and see if he is responsible for any other crimes in the City or County.
This is Outstanding News and a tremendous effort on behalf of the community, patrol officers,
detectives and our forensics unit. We all played a part in this arrest and this has definitely been on
all of our minds for several months now. This is how we catch people who prey on our community -
from our big Crime Meeting at Inderkum to neighbors calling in - to cops on the beat checking
suspects - to proactive stops like the one the Sheriff's department did to catch this guy. Give
yourselves a hand - Job well done!!!!Don't let up and let's continue to keep an eye on our
neighbors. THIS IS THE BEST NEWS I HAVE RECEIVED ALL YEAR !!Keep it up.

Three suspects were observed by loss prevention officer putting baby clothing into a shopping bag. 2
suspects handed the bag to another suspect and she left the store. The suspect with the bag was
identified, but the other two suspects are still not identified. They are described as #1 female black
adult, 18-20 yrs, pregnant. . . #2 female black adult, 18-21 yrs, long hair with a grey hoodie. The
suspect car is a newer silver 4-door Buick with tinted windows.
Victim was standing in line at the gas station with money in his hand. Suspect #1 was in front of him
and turned around and took his money out of his hand. Victim tried to ask for his money but the suspect
walked out of the store and toward a car parked at one of the pumps. The suspect called out to Suspect
#2 and Suspect #2 got out of his car and started swinging an Exacto knife at the victim. They fought for
a little bit and Suspect #2 got back into the passenger seat and Suspect #1 drove away. The victims
suffered two cuts to his hands and a few other injuries. The suspects were described as #1 female black,
17-18 yrs, 6'0", 140 lbs, short light brown hair and grey sweat suit. #2 male black adult, 18-21 yrs, 5'7",
170 lbs, light black dread locks/shoulder length. the car was described as an Older Primer Grey
Oldsmobile, 4-door.

Swing Shift Officer Ethan Hanson attempted to contact the suspect at the above area. The suspect ran
from Off. Hanson down Cleveland. While he was running he was tugging at something in his
sweatshirt. He eventually got it out and threw it in the bushes just East of Stanford Settlement. The
suspect eventually stopped for the officer at Cleveland/a.m.erican. A loaded handgun was found in the
bushes and the 17 year old suspect (on probation) was arrested for resisting the officer and possession
of a handgun. He lives in the general area.
11/1/08
Day shift patrol Officers Deardorf, Lee, Landberg and Sgt. Nasca went to the above address searching
for a parolee at large (Timothy Branom 9/8/64). They knocked on the door and eventually got inside
and found the suspect hiding under a pile of dirty clothes. They also located narcotic pipes and
metha.m.pheta.m.ine. He was arrested for a parole violation and drug charges.
Victim was sleeping on her couch when she woke up to see two suspects (male white adults wearing
hooded sweat jackets) attempting to carry her T. V. to the front door. She screa.m.ed and the suspects
fled out the front door and drove away in a "Loud" car (unk description). The suspects entered the
apartment through a bedroom window (unknown if it was locked - no signs of forced entry).
Officer Lee responded to the above area on multiple calls regarding a subject aggressively panhandling.
We have also received complaints from the community about this location previously. The callers
stated this person was even standing in front of cars that had a green light demanding money. The
officer located the male white suspect with a beard. He was booked into the jail on 10 warrants for
panhandling.
10/31/08
The victim (Male Hispanic Adult) was walking to his apartment from the parking lot. He was
approached by two suspects who both pulled guns on him. He grabbed the one gun and realized it was
a fake gun. The 2nd suspect punched the victim and both of them ran from the complex. Nothing was
taken. The suspects were described as #1 male black juvenile, 14-16 yrs. , 5'2", 120, wearing a black
rain jacket with a hood, black gloves with fur, and a black plastic mask. . . #2 male black juvenile 14-
16, 5'6", 140 lbs and sa.m.e clothing and mask description.
**This is most likely going to be the sa.m.e suspects as the above crime**
The victim (male Hispanic adult) was confronted by two suspects - both with guns. They robbed him of
his wallet and fled on foot. Their descriptions were identical to the previously listed robbery and it was
about 50 minutes after the above crime.

Suspect robbed the victim at gun point and fled the area on foot. He took the victim's wallet and cell
phone. The suspect was described as a male black, 18 yrs, 6', bald, wearing black clothing.
We received a complaint of aggressive panhandlers in this area. Sgt. Gomez's dayshift patrol officers
checked the area and cited one person.

POP Officer John Banks worked traffic Enforcement in the area of Del Paso Rd/Natomas Blvd. He
wrote 5 traffic citations.
Day shift patrol officers worked this area due to recent traffic complaints from the community. They
didn't observe any traffic violations while they were there.
10/27/08
The suspects broke into the victim's mustang in the parking lot and stole his I-pod and headphones.
The suspects were described as 3 Male Black subjects driving a white Grand Prix. At approx. 1:55
a.m., Graveyard Officer Zach Bell observed a white Pontiac Grand Prix near E. Commerce/Del Paso
Rd. He stopped the car and located the three suspects and the stolen I-pod. They also had a Pioneer
Car stereo in the car that was possibly stolen in another auto burglary that Officers could not locate.
All three suspects were arrested for auto burglary and possession of stolen property. One suspect was
16 yrs old and lives in S. Natomas, the 2nd suspect was 17 yrs old and lives in the County near
Greenback, and the final suspect was 20 yrs old (Tonnie Harris 10/27/87) and lives in Westlake. After
the traffic stop by Officer Bell, Officers Tavelli and Villarreal assisted with the investigation.

Two different calls in this area. The first- victim stated she was inside a.m.erican spirit bar and another
female started punching her. A male subject ca.m.e to her aid and ultimately pulled out a handgun.
The disturbance went into the parking lot and several shots were fired. . No one was hit.
Another call ca.m.e in the next day. The victim had been in the Circle K parking lot getting gas after
she left the a.m.erican Spirit bar the night before. Numerous cars rushed into the parking lot around
2:30 a.m. and then several shots were heard. The following day she noticed a bullet hole in her car.

10:03 p. m. , 2605 Stonecreek, Attempt Robbery
S. Natomas
A husband and wife were walking in the area when they were approached by two suspects at gun point.
They demanded money and the victims attempted to walk away. The suspects grabbed the victims
from behind and put them in a choke hold. One suspect put the gun to the male victims head. At this
time a car drove up and the suspects ran off. Off. Giy responded and located two subjects in the area
that fit the description of the suspects. They were eventually identified as the two suspects responsible
for the attempted robbery. Off. Giy also located the handgun in question - it was a BB gun. Both
suspects were arrested for attempted robbery. One was a 17 year old juvenile and the other (Dante
Johnson 3/12/90) was 18 yrs old.
Victim was at the above location and 3 suspects (poss. female Hispanic) grabbed her purse and fled in
a white van.
Two male black adult suspects broke into an adjoining vacant business and knocked a hole in the
shared wall of the AT&T store. The phones were kept in a secured metal case that the suspects couldn't
get into. They left without taking anything. They were possibly driving a blue 90's Plymouth mini
van.
2:52 a. m. , 2830 Del Paso rd (T Mobile)
North Natomas
While officers were on scene at the above burglary - this one ca.m.e out. The sa.m.e suspects did the
sa.m.e thing (broke into adjoining business and broke through the wall of the phone store). The phones
were locked in case the suspects couldn't get into. They left without getting anything. These two
burglaries are most likely related and involve the sa.m.e suspects. Also, the G-1 phone ca.m.e out
yesterday and this is probably what they were attempting to steal.
10/22/08
Suspect attempted to steal victims purse as she was coming out of the check cashing business. She
struggled to keep her purse and told the suspect she was going to call the police. The suspect left
without the purse. The suspect was described as a Male black, 18-19 yrs, 5'4", 180 lbs.
Victim was at Borders when he saw the suspects (1. male hispanic 18 yrs, 6'1", white t-shirt, mustache.
#2. male black 18yrs, 5'4", white t-shirt, cornrows, mustache. #3. male black 18yrs, stripped t-shirt,
jeans, 5'8", 130 lbs) attempting to steal his bike. He confronted them and one of them punched him in
his face. He managed to keep his bike and the suspects fled into the apartment complex behind the
business.
10/20/08
Car was broken into in the parking lot. The suspect was described as a young male in a Dodge Neon
w/ a primer colored Right Front Fender.
One suspect entered the side yard, removed the screen and opened the kitchen window. He opened the
front door so the other suspects could enter the house. Suspects ransacked the house and took personal
items. An additional suspect drove a car to the front of the house (Light Blue Truck). The suspects left
the house and left the area in the truck. They couldn't get the T. V. in the truck so they left it on the
sidewalk. One suspect was heard possibly calling another suspect by the na.m.e of "J". Suspects were
described as 4-5 male adults, black ski masks, black gloves, black hooded sweatshirts, black jeans. The
driver of the truck had tattoos on his arms.
Suspect entered by breaking master bedroom window. He took numerous items from inside the house
and left through the sa.m.e window. The victim entered the house and saw the suspect jumping the
fence onto Northgate. The suspect ran off south bound on Northgate boulevard with a black duffel bag.
He took numerous items such as play station, jewelry, X-box, computer, speakers. The suspect was
described as a Male Hispanic Adult, 5'6", 140lbs, All black clothing.
Victim was home along when someone rang the doorbell. Before she could get to the door the ringing
stopped. She then heard some pounding noises at her back door. The victim saw the suspect sitting on
the ground trying to kick the door open. She yelled at the suspect and he walked away and jumped
back over the fence. This suspect was described as male black adult, 18-21 yrs, dark complexion,
medium build, short black hair. This is the sa.m.e general deception as a similar incident on Riggs (N.
Natomas - Natomas Park) from 9:55 a.m. this sa.m.e date.
The victim was home and left the office window open. Someone rang the doorbell a couple of times at
the front door but the victim didn't answer the door. The subject was described as a Male black adult,
20's, short black hair with a plaid shirt. A little while later she heard something in the office. When she
went to look, she saw a dark figure walking in her house. She screa.m.ed and he ran back out the office
window. He was described as a male black, 20's, 6'0", 180 short black hair, baggy grey sweatshirt and
loose fit jeans.

Two suspects (male black adults, 6-0, 17-20 yrs old) entered business and robbed them at gun point.
They were wearing hooded sweatshirts.
12:43 a. m. , 4800 block of Windsong Street, Shooting
Westlake
The residents of this location were having a party. A subject ca.m.e to the door and asked if he and his
friends could join the party. The victim saw several cars with this subject and told him declined to let
them join the party. A short time later, the residence was fired into with bullets multiple times. It is
possible that a caravan of vehicles were involved in the shooting. They were described as a black older
model Oldsmobile with tinted windows and dirty rims, 2 full sized black chevrolet vans and 2 buick
style sedans. The possible suspect is described as a male black adult, skinny, 5'10", 19-20 yrs, medium
length dread locks with a tattoo with stars on the right side of his neck.

Bicyclist was riding northbound on Northgate and cut across traffic - he was hit by a car. He had
severe head trauma and is in critical condition at the hospital.
10/15/08
Employees discovered about 135' of copper piping was missing from underneath the building. It is
possible that a male white adult wearing a light colored shirt and riding a bicycle is related to this theft.
Two suspects (#1. male black, 18-21, 5'10", orange hooded sweat shirt. . #2 male black 18-21, 5'10",
red sweater or jacket) entered the house through an open front window. Victim was asleep in the house
when he heard the suspects open his front door. He walked to the front of the house with his gun and
chased the suspects off. They didn't get anything from inside the house.
The traffic tea.m. worked the above area last week. The conducted the following: 210 traffic stops, 180
traffic citations, 13 vehicles towed.
POP Officer John Banks participated in the Walk to School day at Heron Elementary. He also wrote 13
traffic citations in the area of Hight and Heron Elementary.

2:51 a. m. , Virgin Sturgeon, 1577 Garden Hwy, Burglary
ROCA area
Suspect(s) made entry through the east entrance by prying open the door. They kicked open the door to
the office and ransacked the office. Nothing appears to be missing.
Suspects pried open the front bedroom window with a crowbar. The ransacked the apartment and took
two guns and wrapped them in a quilt. A neighbor was coming home as the suspects were walking
away. The suspect got scared and fled. The left the guns on the ground so they were recovered. The
suspects were described as #1 male black adult, 18-19 yrs, black hoodie, jeans. . . #2 male black adult
grey hoodie and blue jeans.
10/12/08
Graveyard Officer Bell was working this area due to recent burglaries involving garage doors. He
spotted a green Dodge Caravan driving slowly in the area of Edgemore/Blackrock. He eventually
stopped the vehicle at the above location as they attempted to do a ruse to throw off the officer (acting
like they lived at the above address). Officer Bell located a narcotic smoking pipe, a large tire iron
inside (approx. 15" long) the suspect's pants and other burglary tools along with stolen property.
Further investigation revealed a burglary in the 5000 block of Alterra Wy. The suspect is probably
responsible for other burglaries or was going to commit several other burglaries - Detectives are still
working on this. The suspect (30 yrs old from East Sacra.m.ento) also lied about his na.m.e and had 1
felony warrant and 2 misdemeanor warrants. He was driving around with a female friend. He was
arrested for burglary, possession of burglary tools, narcotic pipe, possession of stolen property and
lying about his na.m.e.
The victim met the suspect at the gas station to assist with paying for gas. The suspect assaulted the
victim and robbed him. The victim recent suffered a stroke and was partially paralyzed. Graveyard
Officers Tavelli and Villarreal found the suspect and her car at Northgate/San Juan. They took her into
custody for robbery.

Rob (from Robs List) recently sent me information about traffic issues on Del Paso Rd late at night
along with Crest Dr. and Danbrook Dr. during the day. Several Graveyard officers and sergeants and
a Community Service Officer put together a traffic operation to combat this issue. They worked the
following areas: Del Paso Rd (between Gateway Park & I-5), Truxel Rd (between Del Paso & I-80) and
El Centro Rd (Between Del Paso & Arena). They 36 traffic stops (18 citations & 18 advisals), wrote 9
parking citations, made 1 felony narcotics arrest and 1 arrest for misdemeanor warrant. The Crest Dr.
and Danbrook Dr didn't have any activity but we will check on these locations soon during the day with
our traffic tea.m..

Traffic Enforcement
Myself and POP Officer John Banks assisted (and walked) with the "Walk to School" day at Bannon
Creek Elementary School - Great turn out of kids and parents. We also visited Heron School and talked
with Principal Mary Patrick about traffic issues around the school. Ms. Patrick and her staff are
working hard to keep the children safe with cones in the street and staff in the parking lot assisting with
traffic. We also saw Paladin there. POP Officer John Banks also wrote 5 traffic citations in the area.
Robbery Arrest
Natomas Creek Area
On 9/11/08 I listed a robbery that occurred on 9/7/08 on the bike trail near Westha.m.pton Park. Two
13 yr. old victims got into an argument/fight at the park with several other susbjects. They tried to
leave the park on the bike trail and the suspects followed them and robbed them of their cell phones.
POP Offices Scott Blynn and Corey Morgan did extensive follow up on this incident and yesterday
arrested two 15 year olds that go to high school in the general area. They located both cell phones and
booked the suspects at Juv. hall for robbery, conspiracy, and possession of stolen property. One cell
phone was currently in use after they ordered a new SIM card and were using the phone as their own.
Great follow up on a case that had very few leads. The suspects both live in N. Natomas.

Suspect jumped the fence into the back yard and entered the house through unlocked pet door and
ransacked the house. They took miscellaneous property and the garage door opener. The suspect was
picked up by a 4 door grey sedan. The suspect is described as a male (unk. race/age), 5'10", 160 lbs,
wearing a hoodie.
Graveyard officers Tavelli & Bell responded to a call at the above address regarding a fa.m.ily
disturbance. One of the subjects was on probation so the officers conducted a probation search. They
found a lot of property that they recognized as being stolen in a burglary on 9/8/08 from Rebelde
Fashion (3000 Northgate). The suspect was booked for possession of stolen property and probation
violation - the investigation is continuing.
School Resource Officer Knecht was working the shopping center due to complaints about drugs,
loitering, parking and other illegal behavior. He observed a white car parked in a handicap parking
spot and stopped the car as the driver was attempting to back out. He beca.m.e very nervous and
claimed he didn't have any I. D. . He then ran from officers south through the shopping center parking
lot and over several residential fences. He was finally caught by officers at 1717 Urbana Wy. A search
of his car revealed his drivers license but nothing illegal. He was arrested for resisting an officer.
10/5/08
Grave yard Officers Bell & Tavelli attempted to stop a white chev. corsica at the above location. The
car kept going and stopped a few times (only to start fleeing again) - the whole time while the
passenger kept opening and closing his door. The car finally stopped at the dead end on Danica. The
passenger fled and jumped the cement wall and ran along Truxel. As he jumped the wall a 9mm
handgun fell out of his pocket. Officers found him hiding in the yard in the 3100 block of Mill Oak
Way. He (35 yrs old) was arrested for resisting arrest, the gun and a parole violation. He lives in S.
Natomas. The driver (25 yrs old) was also arrested for evading police and suspended drivers license.
He also lives in S. Natomas. The car was towed and the gun booked.

Graveyard Officers Tavelli & Bell stopped a car at the above location. One of the subjects in the car
lied to officers about his na.m.e, but they eventually found out who he was. . . . He lied due to the fact
he had a felony warrant for his arrest for stealing a car and possessing stolen property.
Officer Cunningha.m. was working the above areas due to complaints and attempted to stop a red
ca.m.ero. The ca.m.ero fled from the officer on Garden Highway. He eventually stopped at
Orchard/Garden Hwy (ROCA Area). He was arrested for fleeing from the officer, suspended D. L. and
probation violation. He stated he fled because he was scared.

The suspect entered the business by forcing the lock on the rear door and Ultimately setting off the
alarm. The suspect took money from inside the business and fled on foot. Some items were found a
few doors down where the suspect must have dumped them.
Victim saw the suspect taking his bicycle from his garage. He confronted the suspect and the suspect
pulled a gun on him. The suspect fled but actually left the bike near the front of the complex (bike
recovered). The suspect was described as male white adult, 20, 6'0", dirty goatee, blue jeans.
9/30/08
A 15 year old was riding his bike on the side walk near the Natomas Park Elementary School. A
student (5 years old) was opening the door to his car and the door hit the bicyclist as he was
riding by. The 15 year old fell down and had a slight bump on his head - no major injuries. POP
Officer John Banks was on scene when it happened getting ready to enforce traffic rules due to
the recent complaints.

Traffic Officers worked the above area and wrote 44 traffic citations.
Between 1:59 a. m. and 2:02 a. m. , Smile Makers, 1906 Del Paso Rd, Burglary
N. Natomas
Suspects stood across the street for a few minutes and then pulled hoods over their heads and crossed
the street to the business. They threw a rock through the front glass window. They took money from
the business and exited through the sa.m.e window. The suspects are described as #1 male black
juvenile, 15-18 yrs old, blue zip up sweater jacket, gray shirt and black jeans, #2 male black juvenile,
15-18, blue hoodie, gray shirt and black jeans.
9/28/08
Suspect used a garage door opener to gain entry to the detached garage. The suspect took several items
including a Exo Scorpion motorcycle helmet, a white HJC motorcycle helmet and several other items
including an easy up that was later located on the levee nearby. A possible suspect (male black, 18-25
yrs, 5'10" to 6'2", average build with a white shirt) was hanging around the area prior to the burglary.
This is possibly the second burglary recently utilizing a garage door opener. Make sure you secure
your garage when going on vacation (or extended period of time) and you can usually change the signal
on your garage door opener also. People will drive around with a garage door opener until they find a
garage it opens with the sa.m.e frequency.
Swing shift officers wilson & hughes attempted to stop a car at the above location. The car stopped but
then fled from the officers. It was a short pursuit ending at the suspects address at 3209 Nordyke. The
suspect was arrested for the loaded stolen gun in his car, marijuana and packaging materials. The gun
was stolen out of Sutter County and he also had 1 felony No Bail warrant and a misdemeanor warrant.
9/27/08
Suspect showed up at the business on 9/26/08 at 7p.m. and requested an appointment. The victim told
him to come back the next day and the suspect showed up at 4:15p.m. requesting an appointment for
his girlfriend. Victim told him to come back and he ca.m.e back about 4:45 p.m.. The suspect sat
down to wait and then went to the bathroom. He ca.m.e back out and ran to the register and grabbed
the cash drawer. He ran out and got into a newer Toyota Ca.m.ry w/ no plates. He left in his car. He
was described as a Male Hispanic, 22-29 yrs old, 5'7", 160 lbs, brown hair cut in a fate, black shirt and
basket ball shorts, red/white Nike High top shoes.

Victim and his 8 year old son were walking in the apartment complex when two Male Black Juveniles
(17-18 years old, wearing bandannas over face, with curly hair) approached with guns. They
demanded money from the victim and punched him in his face. The victim gave them his wallet and
the suspect fled through the complex.
9/21/08
Victims was at the Circle K when the suspect approached him and asked if he had some gang
affiliation. The victim said "no", but the suspect punched him in the face. The suspect pulled a knife
and ca.m.e at the victim and the victim threw a 12-pack at him and the fight began. Two other suspects
joined in and began kicking and hitting the victim. The victim was able to get away and the suspect
left in their cars. The cars are described as a 2002 white Chevy Tahoe and a Turquoise Lincoln. The
suspects are #1 Male Hispanic, 20's, 5'8", 170lbs, shaved head, NY Yankees hat. #2 Male Hispanic,
20's, 5'10". #3 Male Hispanic 20's, 5'6", shaved head, possibly had a tattoo on back of head.

The victim (worked for property management co. ) was cleaning the dumpster area of the apartment
complex. A Male white juvenile suspect approached him with a shotgun and demanded he empty his
pockets. He then made the suspect get on the ground and walked away. He got into a green Chev.
Ca.m.ero (license plate # 4HWX234) with several other subjects already inside. Officers followed up
on the evidence and located/arrested 4 suspects. Late shift watch commander Lt. Jim Beezley located
the suspect vehicle returning to an address on 37th Ave (south area) at 2:11 a.m. and drop off 1 suspect
at an address on 28th Street. Ultimately 3 suspects (18, 17, and 17 years old) were arrested at these two
addresses. Officers arrested the main suspect (17 yrs old) on Wilkinson (east area). While officers
were setting up a perimeter around his house, he threw the shotgun over the fence right next to one of
the officers. The suspect was arrested, shotgun recovered and the victim's cell phone recovered also. 3
suspects were arrested for robbery and conspiracy and the main suspect was arrested for robbery,
conspiracy and gun charges. Great job by officers from different parts of town. None of the suspect
lived in the north area and claimed to be up her visiting a girl.
9/20/08
Officer Jarvis and Hughes were looking for the Red PT cruiser that was wanted in connection with the
robbery at Bannon Creek park a few weeks ago. They located a similar vehicle in the Ta.m.aron Ranch
Apartments (not the right one) and ended up arresting two subjects for felony warrants.
4:09 p. m. , Truxel/Cattail Ct. , Attempt robbery/assault
S. Natomas
Two victims (16 yr. old males) were walking on Truxel with two female friends. Approx. 8-10 other
juveniles walked up behind them and punched one of the victims in the back of the head and a group of
suspects started punching the other victim. They were attempting to get the victim's cell phones but
then simply walked away. Responding patrol officers Shippen, Chipp, Cox and Cunningha.m. located
a group of about 8-10 juveniles(age ranged from 14 - 19 yrs old) in the area and ultimately arrested 4 of
them for attempted robbery and conspiracy (1- 16 yr old, a 14 year old and a 17 year old). All of the
suspects lived in natomas except for one that was from Oakland (3 male suspects and 1 female). The
16 yr old was a missing person and also arrested for lying about his na.m.e.
9/19/08
Dayshift patrol officers worked the traffic concerns around the school during the morning rush. No
citations were issued.
9/18/08
Alarm went off to the business. The suspect gained entry to the business through the side glass door.
The suspects ransacked the entire business and took the Dell lap top from the office. The suspect is
described as a Male Hispanic or White adult, 5'11" to 6'2", 170 lbs, wearing a black baseball cap with a
white logo on the front, black short sleeve shirt and white gardeners gloves. He also had a crowbar.
Security called officers regarding a customer that was leaving and failed to pay his $200 bill. Officers
McClusky and Diaz attempted to contact the suspect and he pushed the officers and ran. Officers
caught the suspect and were struggling with him – even using their taser. This was ineffective, but
eventually the got the suspect in custody. He was arrested for defrauding the business, resisting
officers and 3 warrants out of Orange County.
10:17 p. m. , Azevedo/Suna Wy. , Pursuit
South Natomas
Officers Stone and Giy attempted to stop a car that was occupied by the driver (suspect) and 1
passenger. The car failed to stop and led officers on a short pursuit. The driver eventually stopped the
car and fled on foot (the passenger stayed in the car). The driver (17 years old) has a history of
weapons charges and was running from the officers while reaching into his waist band area. The
suspect jumped several fences and was eventually found by with the help of a K-9 and helicopter on
Prado Ct hiding.
9/17/08
Great Citizen called regarding a suspect stealing a neighbors bicycle, He also stated the suspect
urinated in the neighbors yard and eventually threw the bicycle into the bushes of another neighbors
house. The neighbor said the suspect was sitting in a Silver SUV. Officers Villegas and Conover
responded and saw a Silver SUV (2009 Suburu Forester) at Nautica/Shearwater with one tire off and up
on a Jack. The officers approached the SUV and the suspect slid under the car attempting to hide from
them. The SUV was stolen. They arrested the suspect/parolee for parole violation for the stolen car.
The car was stolen on 9/15 between 9 p. m. and 7:30 a. m. the next morning from the 2600 block of
Baybridge (sa.m.e general area). GREAT TEa.m. WORK BETWEEN A CONCERNED/ACTIVE
NEIGHBOR AND OFFICERS!!!
Del Paso Rd (empty fields between El Centro and Garden Hwy), Marijuana
farming
POP officers received information that someone was growing marijuana in a field along
Del Paso Rd. They located 24 lbs of marijuana (approx. 19 plants) in the field.
Officer Harshbarger spotted a brown Honda Accord with a license plate of (6BQ. . . . ). This car was
on my North Sac daily a few days ago as being the suspect car that robbed a guy at Kings Market (El
Ca.m.ino/Grove)at gun point. The car fled from officers and led them on a pursuit through N. Sac, Del
Paso Heights, Robla, North and South Natomas (Del Paso Rd/Truxel) and eventually the suspect was
arrested at Watt/El Ca.m.ino. He was a parolee at large, was driving a stolen car, and possibly related
to the earlier robbery.

Victim was in his car at the car wash when 3 male black adults approached him (1 with a red bandana
covering his face). They robbed him at gun point - they took his cell phone, wallet and keys.

Two Traffic Officers worked the area around UTI (Duckhorn/Arena) - Gateway West. They conducted
4 modified vehicle inspections.

Suspect entered the open back door and pointed a gun at the victim demanding money. Another
employee gave him the money drawer and he left with the money and drawer. Susp: Male Black adult,
26 yrs old, 5'7", 160, Off-white mock turtle neck shirt, blue jeans wearing a black baseball hat and
sunglasses.
Graveyard Officers Hawley & Spencer stopped a car for running a stop sign. While they were stopping
the suspect he was moving around a lot inside the car and putting his hand under the seat. Ultimately
the officers located a bullets and a gun inside the car. The suspect was arrested on gun charges.
9/12/08
Officers responded to a call to the Staybridge Suites of possible prostitution activity. They contacted
several people inside one of the rooms. They located some cocain and drug pipes. They also located
rock cocain, metha.m.pheta.m.ine and more drug pipes inside the rental car of one of the subjects.
There were also numerous condoms, wigs, dresses etc. inside the room. There were a couple of
juveniles and several adults inside the room (about 7 people all together). Officers arrested a 32 year
old for cocaine, warrants, meth. , and narcotic smoking pipes, they arrested a 31 year old for ecstacy
pills and marijuana, and a 44 year old for child neglect. They also placed a 17 year old in protective
custody.
9/11/08
An employee of Papa Murphy's was standing in front waiting for a ride. 5 male black juveniles
approached him and attempted to get his cell phone and money. A security guard walked up and the
suspects got scared a fled the area toward Natomas High School. Officers arrived quickly and arrested
two of the suspects.
6:08 p. m. , San Juan/Northgate, Battery
S. Natomas/Gardenland
Patrol Officer Rosin stopped a car at the above location. The suspect refused to follow the officers
orders and assaulted the "Cops" ca.m.era man. He was arrested for resisting arrest and assault. Officer
Rosin had the TV show "Cops" riding with him tonight.
Officers attempted to stop a car at the above location. The car fled from officers and threw marijuana
from the car during the pursuit. The pursuit ended at Colfax/Garden Highway and the suspects (32
years old) was arrested for DUI, evading and resisting officers and drugs.
Officers stopped a car at the above location with 3 occupants. They located a gun in the car and
arrested Francisco Fuentes (28 years old) on various gun charges.
9/9/08
Victim (16 years old) was riding his bike with a friend. Suspect (male black juvenile, 14 years old,
5'6", 125, short hair, dark grey hooded sweat shirt, blue basketball shorts) ran after the victim
demanding the victim give him everything. The suspect pointed a gun at the victim. The suspect stole
the victims cell phone and keys. The suspect left north bound on Trex Piezas.

Victim (18 years old) was riding his skateboard on Brewerton when suspects (#1 male black juvenile,
17-18, black t-shirt wrapped around head and red shorts, #2 male black juvenile, 14, wearing black t-
shirt wrapped around head and red shorts) approached him and told him to give them what he had. The
suspects took the victims wallet and fled into the Stonecreek Apartments. One suspect had a handgun
in his waistband.

Two Victims were in the park and the suspects (4 male black juveniles, 12-16 years old, one had a
black mohawk) began a verbal altercation with the victims. The victims attempted to walk away but
were followed and assaulted by the suspects. The cell phones from both victims were taken by the
suspects. No gun seen.
9/6/08
Employee of BevMo followed the suspects out of the store thinking they were stealing something. The
employee confronted the suspects at their car (Late 1990's pontiac, possibly a Grand Prix or Grand
a.m., 4 door with tinted windows. Dealer plate with red letters). The suspect tried to ra.m. the
employee with her car, but the victim moved and the suspects car hit a black Audi. The suspects left in
the car. Suspects - Female Black adult 20's, red hair, #2 suspect - Female Asian Adult, 22-29 years old,
dark shoulder length hair, acne on face. The suspects had two children with them (8 and 3).
9/4/08
Victim and his girlfriend returned home and interrupted a burglary. They found the suspect (17 years
old - lives in the area) burglarizing their apartment. He had some of the personal property in his
pockets. The victim held onto the suspect until the police arrived. He was arrested for burglary, but
there still appeared to be a video ga.m.e missing.
Two victims were sitting in Bannon Creek Park. 4 Male Hispanic Adult suspects approached and took
personal items from both victim's, including the female victims purse. They struggled a little bit over
the purse, but eventually got it and fled out of the park on foot to possibly a red PT Cruiser.
9/2/08
We received a call regarding a stabbing at the above address. Upon arrival the victim had obviously
been stabbed in the back but appeared intoxicated and was uncooperative with the officers. He refused
to tell officers anything about the stabbing. Further checking by the patrol officers revealed he had a no
bail warrant out of W. Sacra.m.ento for Attempt Murder. He was taken to the hospital and turned over
to W. Sac PD.
POP Officers Rafiq and Perez were conducting proactive work in the Ta.m.aron Ranch Apartments,
2025 W. El Ca.m.ino (working with the management) when a burglary in progress ca.m.e out a few
blocks away at the above location. Three suspects broke into the side garage door of a 68 year old
woman's house while she was home. She called the police and as officers were arriving they fled.
These suspects were going through the neighborhood knocking on doors and if someone answered -
they would ask for a fictitious person and then leave. They didn't think anyone was home at this
location. Officers (assisted by Perez's and Rafiq's earlier work) were able to track the suspects to the
Ta.m.aron Ranch Apartments. All three were arrested for the burglary. 2 of the suspects live in the
apartment complex and the 3rd lives in Del Paso Heights. Two of the suspects were 15 years old and
the third was 14 years old. One was already on probation and wearing an ankle monitor. Great job by
the community and officers!!
POP Officer John Banks worked the traffic complaints at Jefferson Elementary School but didn't
observe any violations. He also worked the area of Azevedo/Pebblewood and had 3 traffic
citations and 1 towed car.
A Hispanic couple were walking in the apartment complex with their 3-year old son when they were
approached by the suspects (2 Male Hispanic Adults, 20's). The suspects displayed a handgun and
demanded the 3-year old. The parents refused and quickly walked away. Again the suspects demanded
the child at gun point and the victims ran for help. The suspects fled the area at this point - never
getting the child.
8/31/08
Pizza Guys delivery driver went into the apartment complex to deliver a pizza. He was hit over the
head (laceration to head) by one of the suspects as he got out of his car. The suspects (male black
adults, 20's medium builds, 5'7" to 5'9") attempted to take his wallet unsuccessfully and then took his
cell phone and his car. Officers arrived and suspects fled over fences. They car was recovered on the
other side of the apartment complex.

12:41 a. m. , 3601 Larchwood Dr. (Garden Valley Elementary School Park area), Armed
Robbery

Three victims (19, 15 and 15 years old - all live in the area) were sitting in the park when three suspects
(#1 Male Hispanic Juvenile, 14-16, blue hoodie, #2 Male Hispanic Juvenile, 17-18, long slicked back
black hair, # 3 Male Hispanic Adult 20's) approached (1 had a gun and another had a knife) and
demanded money. 1 victim fled on foot, the second victim tried to flee but was stopped by the suspect,
assaulted and had his shoes stolen. The 3rd victim was robbed of his money and necklace. The
suspects fled on foot.
8/28/08
6 p. m. to 11 p. m. , BB gun shootings
South, East areas and Natomas.
5 subjects (2 adults, Kulpreet Singh 20, Clarence Watts 19, and 3 juveniles - all 17) drove around the
city in a red car shooting people with a BB gun. They shot people downtown, south area and at the
Ta.m.aron Ranch Apartments at 2055 W. El Ca.m.ino (S. Natomas). 13 incidents in all. South Area
Officers located this car at the Raley's (Franklin/Mack) and arrested all 5 suspects for Assault with a
Deadly Weapon. None of them lived in the north area.
Swing Shift Officer Cox worked traffic complaints on Duckhorn. He stopped a car for running the stop
sign and Ultimately arrested the driver for a $35,000 burglary warrant.
Patrol Officers Stone and McClusky found a stolen car driving at the above location. They stopped the
car and arrested the driver. They also noticed blood on the shirts of the driver and passenger. At that
time the police radio mentioned an assault that occurred at 3271 Azevedo where the suspects matched
the description of these two guys. Ultimately they were arrested for the stolen car, assault with a
deadly weapon and possession of stolen property. They had walked up to the victim on Azevedo and
asked "where you from" - that resulted in a fight where one of the suspects hit the victim with a screw
driver. The suspect also had some of the victim's property on him when he was stopped in the stolen
car. The car was stolen earlier in the night from downtown.
Due to the traffic complaints in this area the traffic tea.m. started a little earlier today at 5:00 a.m..
They wrote 11 traffic citations on Duckhorn - most were residents from the area. The Technical school
had staff standing on the corner and in the parking lot keeping an eye on their students. Swing shift
patrol has also been keeping an eye on this traffic complaint. Swing shift officer Ethan Hanson (who is
the liason with the newly formed Witter Ranch Community Alliance) also contacted the Technical
School staff to remind them of the rules of the road for their students.

Victim was home when two suspects (male white juveniles 17 & 16 years old) rang his door bell
several times. One then jumped the fence and was talking to the other one that stayed in front. The
victim made his presence know and detained both suspects until the police arrived. They were both
arrested for prowling. They lived in Antelope and Foothill Farms respectively.

POP Officer John Banks worked complaints in the area of San Juan/Truxel. He had 3 traffic citations
and 1 tow. He also checked on the red zone parking in the parking lot of the shopping center, but no
one was parked illegally.
Suspects (2 male black adults & 1 male white adult, 1 wearing a mask, and 1 wearing a "hoodie").
knocked on door and forced their way in when the victim answered it. They had a metal pipe as a
weapon. They took the victims cell phone and several other personal items from the apartment such as
video ga.m.es and money. The victim was actually baby sitting several kids and didn't live at this
address. The suspects fled on foot with the property - no physical injuries to the victims.

Traffic Officers worked traffic complaints at E. Commerce/North Park and Duckhorn. They had 66
citations, nine 30-day tows and one misdemeanor warrant arrest. The UTI staff were in the parking lot
at lunch time keeping an eye on their students. Most of the citations were given to residents in the area.

Burglary Arrest
A residential burglary occurred in South Natomas on 7/20/08. A car was stolen and personal property.
Several subjects were arrested in Monterey in the stolen car. Detectives identified the suspect in the
burglary (16 years old and lives in the sa.m.e area) and officers went looking for him on the 22nd. He
wasn't home, but his parents turned him into police later that night.

6:28 p.m., Northview/Northfield, Homicide
Northgate/S. Natomas
Juvenile victim (16 years old) got into an argument with the suspects. Ultimately the suspects shot the
victim multiple times. We located the suspects in the city of Southgate (LA County) and they were
taken into custody. The homicide detectives are on their way down there at this time. They all lived in
the sa.m.e area.

POP Officer John Banks met with the principal of Jefferson Elementary regarding traffic complaints
around the school. We will be working with the school on possible solutions for this issue.
POP Officer John Banks worked the shopping mall at Truxel/San Juan regarding red zone parking. No
violations were observed. This was due to complaints about people parking in red zone in addition to
other issues at this location.
Banks worked the area of Exposition /Heritage due to traffic complaints. He had 4 traffic citations in
this area.

The suspect was taking juveniles to school. The suspect was arrested.

Swing Shift Officer Ja.m.es Gannon was working this area due to narcotic activity. He worked on this
with officers Carr, Boyd, Phan and Wilson. They arrested 1 suspect (male 26 years old) for possession
of cocain and marijuana. Suspect lives in the Willow Creek area of S. Natomas.

Natomas Park
Multiple neighbors called in about a suspect (described as a Male white juvenile 16-18 years old)
looking suspicious around a neighbors house and ultimately jumping into the back yard. They called
Paladin and police. The officers that arrived tracked the license plate on the car to a Carmichael
address. The officers located the car and the suspect. (Daniel Marini 18yrs old). He was arrested for
burglary. Great exa.m.ple of police/community working together!

Enforcement
The traffic tea.m. conducted traffic enforcement in the above areas. They had 25 traffic citations, 3 30-
day tows.
Hight Elementary School, Creekside Neighborhood, 1st day of school POP Officer John Banks
has been working with the Principal and City Traffic Investigators on the traffic flow/issue at this
school. Today Officer Banks was there for opening day along with City Traffic Investigators.
They are working on several issues regarding pedestrian and vehicle traffic. Please tell your
children to use the cross walks at the intersections to cross the street as opposed to crossing mid-
block. Several warnings were given out today regarding parking, driving, children etc. We will
continue to work on making is safer for our kids to get to and from school.

Between 10:00 a. m. And 11:30 a. m. , a.m.erican Lakes Elementary School, School Burglary
South Natomas
The school was doing some painting so some doors were unlocked. Seven kids went into the school
classroom and stole computers, stereo's, money, DVD's etc. The kids ranged in age from 8 yrs old to
13 years old. On Monday (8/11/08) the 8 yr. old brought some of the items back and apologized.
Officers determined who some of the other kids were and arrested the 13 year old. They were assisted
by the security ca.m.era system of the school.

9:57 p.m., Stolen Vehicle/drugs/parole arrest, Northgate/Patio, S. Natomas
Swing Shift Officer Ja.m.es Gannon spotted a stolen white Honda Accord in the drive thru of the
Kentucky Fried Chicken on Northgate. There was a male driver and female passenger. As other
officers arrived and set up a perimeter, the suspect (Anthony Ortega 30 yrs old) got out of the car and
ran from officers. He eventually tried to run across Northgate - almost getting hit by several cars.
Officers caught him. He was arrested for the stolen car, metha.m.pheta.m.ine that was found and a
parole violation (he was on parole). The female passenger lives in Carmichael and the suspect lives in
the sa.m.e area off of Northgate Blvd. The car was stolen from 11th/T st downtown on 7/19/08.

9:08 p. m. , Med 7 Urgent Care Parking lot at 4112 E. Commerce Way
North Natomas
Victim was assaulted (hit with the suspects gun) and robbed in the parking lot of Med 7 Urgent care.
The suspects (2 Male Hispanic adults 22-28, wearing hoodies and bandana's over their faces. One was
6' tall, and the other was 5'10". ), both armed with guns, took money and a cell phone. They fled north
bound on E. Commerce in a newer Black Honda Prelude.

8:37 a. m. , Azevedo/W. El Ca.m.ino, Drug Arrest
SRO's were working the S. Natomas area regarding recent robberies and other activity. They stopped
a car at Azevedo/W. El Ca.m.ino. The car just left the Bannon Creek Park. The suspect had 2 ounces
of heroin on him. He was arrested on drug charges and his car was towed. Suspect does not live in
Natomas and is 26 years old.

5:11 p. m. , Save Mart Parking Lot at 3291 Truxel, Cell phone Snatch
South Natomas
Suspect (male black adult 20-21 years old, 5'5", Heavy set, long twisties/braids, wearing a white t-shirt
and black paja.m.a pants) walked up to the female victim in the parking lot. He tried to strike up
conversation. He then snatched her cell phone and ran to a waiting car in the parking lot. He fled
south bound on Truxel in a Gold SUV 4-door Lexus.

11:09 p. m. , North Natomas Community Park at 245 Menard Circle

Neighbors called in a suspicious car near the park. Paladin Security arrived and also called police.
Officers arrived and ultimately arrested a suspect (lives in N. Natomas) for various sex related charges.
There was an underage girl in the car with the suspect. Great job of the neighbors recognizing that
something isn't right on their street!

about "sex offenders" - it is in the middle of the page. You can search your neighborhood for
registered sex offenders and you can also register for email alerts when a sex offender moves into
your neighborhood. Knowledge is power!

SRO officers worked San Juan again. They conducted 12 traffic stops that resulted in 4 citations. They
also had 2 30-day vehicle tows and recovered a stolen truck from the Point Natomas Apts.

Natomas Park
Victim (13 yrs old) was riding his skateboard home from the skate park. He was on the bike path near
the pond/nature area. Suspects (1 male white juvenile and 2 male hispanic juveniles, all with buzz hair
cuts 16-17 years old) rode up behind the victim on bicycles. They pulled the shirt over his head and
took his cell phone. They rode off toward Longs. No gun or physical violence.

School Resource Officers (Sgt. Husted, Officers Frazer & Magny) worked San Juan regarding recent
robberies and other activity. Their work resulted in 6 traffic citations, 3 30-day vehicle tows, 2
probation searches and two people cited for trespassing at San Juan Village Apartments.
