That's it from us here! Hope you enjoyed the coverage. Do join us for the coverage of day four tomorrow, until then, good bye and take care. Australia would be looking to wrap it up soon and restrict the hosts to as low a total as possible. Another intriguing day's play awaits us tomorrow. Bell joined Pietersen and played some sublime strokes as they added 115 runs scoring 92 in the second session without losing any wicket, Pietersen reached a splendid century but then Starc bowled a brilliant spell of swing bowling to remove Pietersen and Bairstow, while Harris removed Bell as England crumbled to 280/7. They still haven't avoided the follow-on and Prior and

Live: Day 3, third Ashes Test, England v Australia, Old Trafford

4/08/13 8:21 AM

3:41am: Another interesting day's Test cricket was produced. While Jonathan Trott endured another failure and Alastair Cook failed to kick on from his half-century, uncharacteristic for both compared to the previous Ashes series, England boasted two fine innings: Ian Bell's 60 and Kevin Pietersen's even finer - by runs, if not aesthetically - contribution of 113. The home team was set to easily coast past the follow-on target, but was made to worker for that thanks to Harris' excellent dismissal of Bell and Mitch Starc's removal of Pietersen, the latter as part of a late spell that was clearly his best so far in the Ashes. A central source of interest tomorrow will revolve around whether Australia can claim the final three wickets before England scores another 34 runs to reach 328, to deny Australia captain Michael Clarke the option of a follow-on. While Australia's bowlers have already bowled 120 overs to England the captain could be swayed by expectations rain will intervene in the final two days, and that anything other than Australian victory would guarantee England's retention of the Ashes. All the news and views from our team at Old Trafford, Chris Barrett and Malcolm Knox, will be posted on our websites. Thanks for joining us. We will return for complete coverage of day four.
