INTRODUCTION

Textile industries are the oldest industries of our country. It provides tremendous opportunities for employment as well as promotes huge amount of revenue. In common life of human beings, cloth is necessary. To meet this challenge, the textile is growing up. Indian government is also playing a major role in promoting the textile industries.

The raw material used is cotton, which is brought within Tamilnadu and from states like Andhra Pradesh, Maharastra, and Gujarat. They produce yarn having the thickness of 38s and 40s counts, which are sending to Tiruppur and local markets.

Sri Venkatramana spinning mills (p) limited is located in sathymangalam. There are nearly 350 workers are working in a company on shift basis with different departments.

TRAINING
This industrial training report exclusively deals with details regarding the information collected in the firm from all the departments. This is done merely to obtain practical knowledge on various organizations.

The report gives brief structure about the organization and how the stock ledger is maintained in stores department.

The industrial training may helps to get more practical knowledge of various functions of the business concern will be known by me and to get more idea than what I have learned in theoretical aspect.

Various practical experiences have been obtained in this industrial training period. These are given in department wise,

DEPARTMENTS

There are various departments functioning effectively to make sure that the dayto-day operation of the company is been performed without any hindrances.

PURCHASE DEPARTMENT
The raw materials are purchase in Tamil Nadu and other states. The states are Karnataka, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharastra. The payment will be made after one week of the purchase. COTTON NAME

The steps used for purchase of cotton.


1. Material requisition indents 2. Preparing order, based on stock in hand. 3. Preparing comparative statements of rates. 4. Getting authorization from the purchase manager. 5. Placing the purchase order.

Before purchasing the goods, the following conditions are to be fulfilled.


1. Right quality of the goods 2. Right quantity of the goods 3. Less costs of goods.

PAYMENT OF CREDITORS The payments for sundry creditors are made only after one week from the date of purchase of materials.

PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT The production department is the heart of the organization as it is manufacturing concern. The production department is controlled by the factory manager under authority of accountant. PROCESS The following are the steps involved in the manufacturing process. MIXING Raw cotton is the principle raw materials, required is mixed as possible to produce yarn of desired quality and conditions. It may be a composition of different types of waste cotton. The varieties of cotton mixed are:

Vergen cotton. Flates waste. Darofing waste etc.,

Generally, the raw materials of cotton are purchased within Tamil Nadu and also from other states like Maharastra, Gujarat, Andhra, Madhya Pradesh, and Karnataka. BLOW ROOM The process involves opening of cotton and elimination of impurities, such as land, seed etc., and these principle function carried out by passing cotton a serious of machines known as of blow room line. Raw materials are fed in the machine which has several heating points, the raw materialist cleaned to some extent and taken in the from of laps. The cleaned waste cotton and mixed waste cotton are converted in to a form of uniform compressed sheets which is rolled into a lap. The laps have predetermined weight per unit length to meet the desired standard. The machines are used bale breaker, hopper, and feeder, and shep leaner, precipine opener beater culture.

CARDING After the information of laps at blow room laps are next fed into a card where the fibers are thoroughly individualized, impurities eliminated and the material delivered in the form of a thin web and in condenses into long thick rope from called sliver. DRAWING Card sliver have variety over length and this need improvement both in weight, uniforms and fiber straightening. The carding sliver are feed into drawing the fibers are drawn parallel and collected in cans and stored in a place for open end spinning process. SPINNING It is final process where the roving bobbin is reeled in spinning frame to produce yarn. The yarn wounds on bobbins are further twist at high speed and drafted to produce counts and yam. They are 6236 spindles are available in M/S Aravind Kumar Textile (p) Ltd. CONE WINDING Yarn is converted into the cone by using cone winding machines. The yarn which is converted from capital formation is about of grams. Every cone is having 1kg yarn. About 17 caps arte joined one after another by using another. The purpose of cine winding is to prepare a large package of in having a sound 68,000 meters of yarn.

PACKING DEPORTMENT

Packing is an important work done in case of sales of a product. Thus here the details regarding packing are obtained from cone winding and packed in gunny bags. 50 caser in equal to 100kg at net weight and gross weight in calculated 105kg. Where the 5kg includes the plastic cone and the sanel. The cones are collected and bundled in polythene covering inside. The net weight of bag is 50kg and hanks are bundles. Bundles hanks are for sale and also flexible for transport.

MARKETING DEPORTMENT

Marketing is the back bone of an enterprise. It decides the future of the entity and its products. This industry is a wide one since it has great demand inside the country and also marketing should be concert rated with great care. The company to quote competitive rates in the market. The yarn having the thickness of 30s and 40s counts. The sales are done through brokers. The rate of yarn will be changed according to the marketing conditions.

ACCOUNTS DEPORTMENT

The accounts of the company will be properly made by the accountant and it must be audited every year by qualifying auditor.
1. Maintaining cash voucher, Bank voucher, General voucher, Stores purchase

vouchers, Raw materials vouchers.


2. The above vouchers are filing sequentially and keeping in file rack with

superscription of voucher type, voucher number and period of vouchers made. The following files are maintained by the accountant. 1. Raw materials file. 2. Cash voucher file. 3. Insurance file. 4. Profit and Loss. 5. Bank file. 6. Cone winding production file. 7. Stores ledger. 8. Final inspection report file. 9. Day book. 10. Waste cotton file.

QUALITY & CONTROL DEPARTMENT The main function of the quality control department is to maintain the quality of the finished goods. The various activities of the quality control department are as follows. Testing as per test schedule. Verification of result. Report preparation. Customer complaint and analysis. Final inspection. Raw material inspection. OUTPUT Accuracy in result. Analyzing reports. Timely reporting. Test completed. OBJECTIVES Timely testing. 100% Accuracy test.

STORES DEPARTMENT
1. The materials requisition slip (MRS) is received from the department heads. 2. The materials requisition slip is passed to the purchase department. 3. The purchase department raises orders and create enquiry for quotation. 4. After receiving the quotation. The department made comparison regarding quality

rate and other specifications.


5. After getting approval from management and placing order. 6. The purchase officer may purchase from hereby cities on the basis of our confirm

order.
7. In stores, the materials are received from the parties are kept for inspection of the store

keeper.
8. After inspection of the materials by the store keeper, the materials are kept in the bin

location by making identification marks.


9. The goods receipts notes (GRN) are verified by the concern deportment heads and

by inspecting the materials. They give their approval to pass the bills for payment.
10. After approval of the department head the concern bills are passed to the accounts

deportment.

PERSONNEL DEPARTMENT

Personal department is concerned with the management of human resources. It is dealing only with the use and the control of man power resources. Personal department consist of time office and security office. This department managed by a personal officer under the control of accountant. Recruitment of workmen is being done by accountant with the assistance of technical personnel. PAYMENT OF WAGES AND SALARY Salary is paid on first day of every month to all office staff and supervisors and on the second day to masons, fitters, and watchman. On the seventh day of every week, the wagers are paid to all the other employees. PAYMENT Permanent employees receive their salaries along with certain allowances like, dearnessallowances, house rent allowance and medical allowance. HOLIDAYS Totally the company declares four days as national holidays and festival holidays are five days in a year. Casual leave is giver to the employees. INCREMENT Only continued workers are eligible for getting increment. The increment is based upon the workers performance and efficiency.

TIME OFFICE The function of time office is


Preparing of shift cycle Issue of tokens to the workers. Maintenance of attendance records. Leave record maintenance. Preparation of wages for workers. Maintenance of any other records as per the act.

To provide essential commodities to the workers at fair price. To provide credit /load facility for the factory employees. A canteen to cater the needs of the employees. Residential quarters provided for essential staff and technical people normal rent. Free tea to all the employees during the 1,11 and III shifts also. Free uniform to watchman, peons, technicians and workers. Rest cum-meals shed to the workers and technicians.

A cycle shed. All employees are converted by group insurance scheme, ESI scheme as instrumented by the directors of handloom textiles. They are arranging medicals check - up to all employees by conducting medical camp once in year.

COMMUNICATION Communication plays an important role for exchanging the facts, ideas, opinions and emotions in various forms. They company follows two types of communications.

SUGGESTIONS

The company should advertise effectively to increase the turnover. Discount can be allowed on bulk - purchase. Incentive can be given to the workers. The company should adopt non - monitory benefits to improve the efficiency of the workers.

CONCLUSION The training is very much helpful to me. Institutional training has given me a general idea about the company and its business.
