CONSTITUTION Section13. The State recognizes the vital role of the youth in nation-building and shall promote and protect their physical, moral, spiritual, intellectual, and social well-being. It shall inculcate in the youth patriotism and nationalism, and encourage their involvement in public and civic affairs. LABOR CODE Art. 139. Minimum employable age. No child below fifteen (15) years of age shall be employed, except when he works directly under the sole responsibility of his parents or guardian, and his employment does not in any way interfere with his schooling. Any person between fifteen (15) and eighteen (18) years of age may be employed for such number of hours and such periods of the day as determined by the Secretary of Labor and Employment in appropriate regulations.

Whoever shall induce, deliver or offer a minor to any one prohibited by this Act. RA 9231 Terms Worst forms of child labor Slavery, Child prostitution and prostitution, using children for illegal activities including drugs and Hazardous work. Hazardous Work Demeans the intrinsic worth and dignity of a child Exposes the child to physical, emotional or sexual abuse, Psychologically stressful or prejudicial to morals Performed underground, underwater or at dangerous heights Involves the use of dangerous machinery, equipment and tools Exposes the child to physical danger(i.e. Dangerous feats of skill and carrying heavy loads) Is performed in an unhealthy environment Is performed under particularly difficult conditions Exposes the child to biological agents Involves the manufacture or handling of explosives
