About Me
Accomplished publishing operations professional with extensive experience in the ePublishing and Digital Media Industry. Proven success in project management and meeting company goals by streamlining departments to reduce operating costs and integrating newer and more efficient workflows. Ability to multitask and properly execute multiple simultaneous assignments without sacrificing efficiency or quality of the work. I have developed considerable expertise in print and digital production workflows and technologies. My skill is in analyzing and rationalizing workflows and concepts (such as XML first workflows), and in identifying, describing and disseminating best practice. Additional areas of expertise include cost containment and vendor management, ranging from individual freelancers. My goals are to continue to learn new skills and benefit from new opportunities in the print and online publishing environments.

Played catalytic role in production of "Encyclopedia of Aerospace Engineering" (9 Vols) by John Wiley & Sons. Managed more than 720 Authors, 56 Section Editors and 2 Editor-in-Chief. Project Manager for "Handbook of System Toxicology" (4 vols) by John Wiley & Sons. Operational control of activities in order to achieve optimal performance. Motivate and influence personnel to work as a cohesive and productive team focused on achieving project/team objectives and targets. Created and maintained job scheduling and tracking systems for production department. Researched and contracted with vendors for ePUB and XML coding. Checked content for accuracy and style, consistency, figure and table quality, and ensures all parts of manuscript are complete and usable.

Performed hands-on production, including 4-color layouts, page layout. Worked with Springer Quality Team to developed standard macro package for Springer. Developed & implemented a manpower and equipment (operational) resource plan to meet project deliverable and schedule. Initiated XML first typesetting workflow for Cambridge University Press books. Designed a book (Java: An Eventful Approach by Kim B. Bruce) for Pearson. Modified author template for AASTeX Society. Released ver. 5.2.
