2013 Progressive Discipline Plan
2013 Progressive Discipline Plan
Expectations, procedures, and correct responses need to be taught, modeled, and reviewed with students to help increase positive behavior. Along with clear and consistent classroom expectations and consequences (verbal warning, Think Sheet, detention, behavior contract, parent call, etc.) for misbehavior, staff members should also incorporate proactive behavior approaches including, but not limited to positive recognition, student conferences, use of proximity, and one liner responses. These are the general steps of discipline. While it is the responsibility of the administration to judge each situation on a case by case basis, this is the format to address a consistent application of the progressive discipline plan. Any time that there is a question or concern, please speak to the administrator for an explanation.
