Location: The International Conference Global ethics: Save the planet Earth will be held in Astana city the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan which is located in the very heart of Eurasia. Kazakhstan is the land where values of ancient civilizations, as well as the cultural, economic, social and ideological connections unify East and West, associate Europe and Asia. Astana is the major political, administrative, business and cultural center of the Republic. All the central authorities, diplomatic missions, the headquarters of domestic and foreign companies, leading universities, as well as modern medical clinics and important cultural institutions are located in this city. Venue: The main venue for the event working sessions is "Sary-Arka" conference room at the Radisson Hotel Astana, which is equipped with a complete set of facilities for simultaneous translation of proceedings and professional presentations. Conference duration: International Conference "Global Ethics: Save the Planet Earth" will last for two days, opening on Thursday (August 22, 2013) and closing on Friday (August 23, 2013). Arrival to Astana: Upon the arrival to Astana, participants will be met by the Organizing Committee representative with UNESCO sign. If for some reason you have not got met, we kindly ask you to gather by the Conference informational stand, which can be found at the Arrivals Hall on the first floor. Registration of Delegates: The registration of participants will start on August 22 at 9:00. The official opening ceremony of the forum will begin on August 22 at 09:30. On the opening day (August 22) the access to the Conference room will be closed after 9:20. Delegates are kindly asked to register and receive a participants kit. Please refer to the registration desk at the entrance of the Conference Hall.

INFO GUIDE International Conference Global ethics: Save the planet Earth August 22-23, 2013 Working languages: Meetings of the International Conference "Global Ethics: Save the Planet Earth" will be held in Kazakh, Russian and English languages (the conference room will be equipped with the simultaneous translations). Participation in discussions: A distinctive feature of the Conference is the discussion format of plenary and panel sessions, which involves hearing, lively and open exchanges of reports opinions. We look forward to experience active participation of delegates on the proposed topics for the Conference. Sessions format: Plenary sessions and panel discussions will be conducted in open format. Sessions are run in an interview format where the moderator begins by posing a few questions to the panel after outlining the topic and introducing any special guests or challengers. He or she will then prompt and control the discussion that follows among panel members. Further on in the discussion, the audience is encouraged to ask questions from the floor. The goal is to allow for spontaneity and informality in the discussion. Moderators will manage the session so that participants find it stimulating and enjoyable. Our goal is to create lively, interactive and provocative discussions. Moderators are allowed to enforce strictly various rules of the game and will not hesitate to intervene forcefully to ensure that panelists and participants keep their statements short and to the point. Moderators must ensure that enough time is left for them to bring the discussion to a close and summarize its core findings in their concluding remarks. Its their task to make sure that the session ends on time so that the days agenda remains manageable. Time frames: Session: 1.5 2 hours; Each speech at the Plenary Session: 10 15 minutes; Each panel discussion: 5 7 minutes.

Dining: The Radisson Hotel Astana as well as the Park Inn Hotel serve breakfast for all guests from 6:30 to 10:00. Lunch for the delegates during the conference will be provided by the organizers, lunch venue and time will be specified in the individual invitations. Dinners will be organized during the evening receptions. Currency rates: The national currency of the Republic of Kazakhstan is Tenge (KZT). Please ensure that you exchange currency only at specialized bureau or any bank. All the hotels, big supermarkets and restaurants accept all major international credit cards. Exchange rate: 1 U.S. dollar = 153 KZT 1 Euro = 194 KZT Weather: Weather in Astana at the end of August is warm and dry. Rains may occur. The average temperature varies from +12 C to +24 C.
