Jumaa Prayer
for the Muslims of Africa and beyond
Intercede with Us for the Muslim World!
The right hand of the Lord does works of power. The right hand of the Lord is lifted up. The days are coming, declares the LORD, when the reaper will be overtaken by the plowman and the planter by the one treading grapes. New wine will drip from the mountains and flow from all the hills (Ps 118:16; Amos 9:13). Pray this week that the Lord will empower His people to reap, plant, and plow for a great harvest of Muslim souls. *

Today's Prayer Requests: From Students and Alumni

BURKINA FASO: Praise God for answered prayer! A student reports that, since we began praying for his family last year, more than 30 of his family members have become Christians! He asks that we continue to pray that everyone in his village will come to Christ. CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC: Pray for CAR, as Muslims are getting bolder in threatening churches and have even knocked down some church walls. Some missionaries have evacuated to Cameroon. Things seem to be heating up in the nations surrounding CAR as well. DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO: Mosques and Muslims are multiplying in Kinshasa. Middle Easterners are buying up properties and gaining influence. Some have come to Christ. Pray that the witness of these new converts would be strong and touch those in the Muslim community. GUINEA: Please pray concerning ethnic conflicts in the south. Churches have been burned and some people have been killed. There are those who want to take advantage of the situation and portray it as inter-religious violence. Pray for peace. NORTHERN GHANA: Muslims have been starting schools and hospitals in an effort to gain influence in the north. As their influence has grown, churches are being threatened more and more. Pray that the church would be protected and strong in her witness.

From Global Initiative**

Pray for Somalis Muslims to be free from the yoke of the devastating al Shabaab Islamic militia. Two years ago this week, al Shabaab militia were ousted from the capital city, Mogadishu, and the people there have enjoyed relative peace for the first time in more than 20 years. However, on 4 August, 20 grenade attacks around the city targeted nonMuslims. The insurgents want to rid of the country of all foreign influence, and Christians are especially targeted. For Muslim Women***

Please pray for Muslim women in restricted countries who suffer painful consequences for deciding to follow Jesus, that they would remain comforted and secure in their relationships with Him.
