Other Description: Written Test: Pattern Written test consisted of the Global Samsung Aptitude Test (GSAT). It was a single round consisting of 50 questions 25 based on quantitative aptitude and data interpretation; 25 based on analytical and logical reasoning. 1 hour was given to solve the 50 questions. There was no negative marking. Questions:

Questions based on bar graphs, line graphs, pie charts (around 15) Simple quantitative aptitude questions based on topics like Profit and Loss, Time Speed Distance, Ratio and Proportion. Reasoning section had questions based on Arrangements. For example, 'There are six people and five working days. If A works, then B must work. If C works, then D and E must not work. A must be on a day before D and so on. There was an average of 4-5 questions based on each arrangement. The above (incomplete) statement counts as one arrangement. There were 5 or 6 of these with a total of 25 questions based on them. Speed was important for solving these questions and because of the simplicity of the paper and absence of negative marking, the cut-off was high (46 out of 50). Interview: Interview involved basic technical questions. They mostly asked technical questions related to ones project or major training. Questions: Technical Interview: Represent the OSI model pictorially. Explain the working of the Network layer of the OSI model. Explain the working of TCP. Mention practical uses of UDP. Mention differences between TCP and UDP. Why is UDP called connectionless and TCP connection-oriented? Write an algorithm for deletion of a node from a binary tree. Mention method(s) to prevent an operating system from entering a deadlock. If an operating system is already in a deadlock situation, mention ways to get it out of the deadlock. What do the following statements do? 1. const int a; 2. const int *a; 3. const (int *) a; HR Interview: (For some reason) What's in your resume? What do your parents do? Would relocation be a problem for you? Where do you see yourself in five years? Do you have any questions? Etc... NOTE: We also requests, all appeared students to share their interview experiences by comments.
