It is natural to get angry sometimes. At times, it is anger that moves one to take action on things that need to be changed in our lives. Trying to live a life without anger is unnatural and may one day lead to more problems if they are expressed in unhealthy ways. We can manage anger by finding the root cause of our problem and express our anger in healthy ways. When you get angry, calm yourself down and find out what exactly makes you angry. If a friend tends to make you angry by doing things that irritate you, manage your anger by moving away from him or her. Get to know other friends and move around with others and reduce your contact with the person. Learn effective communication skills so that we can communicate our boundaries to others so that others understand us and we do not make others angry. If you are under a lot of stress, get quality sleep, healthy diet and have some time for hobbies and creativity. You should also talk about it to your friends and family members so that you feel better. You may feel like crying or screaming when anger overwhelms you. Practise breathing exercise as it is a good way to manage your anger and it can help to calm you down. Take up some exercise that you enjoy doing to take your mind off your problem. If stress gets out of hand, get help and support from others. You may even need to examine your lifestyle and perhaps get expert advice from therapists. SECTION C [10 marks] Read the passage and complete the following task. Acne is a common problem among teenagers but there are ways to prevent breakouts. Wash your face twice a day with warm water and a mild soap made for people with acne. Gently massage your face with circular motions. Do not scrub as scrubbing can cause the skin to become irritated. After cleansing, dermatologists recommend applying lotion containing benzoyl peroxide. This will decrease oil and bacteria. Do not pop pimples because this can cause swelling and redness, and even scarring. Avoid touching your face with your fingers or leaning your face on objects that collect sebum like your phone. Touching your face can spread the bacteria that cause pores to become inflamed and irritated. To keep bacteria at bay, wash your hands before applying anything to your face, such as treatment creams or makeup. If you wear glasses or sunglasses, make sure you clean them frequently to keep oil from clogging the pores around your eyes and nose. Remove your makeup before you go to sleep. Keep hair clean and out of your face to prevent additional dirt and oil from clogging your pores. If your acne is serious, talk to a dermatologist.
