61/2 Inside width of the rim in inches. J Letter denoting the flange profile. 16 Outside diameter in inches (same as the tyre diameter). CH Letters denoting the profile of the safety device designed to fit the lip of the tyre.

HOW TO READ THE MARKINGS ON A TYRE? FOR EXAMPLE: 205/55 R 16

205 -  Tyre section width (S). 55 - Tyre series (H/S = 55). R -  Radial structure or speed index. 16 -  Tyre inside diameter in inches (same as the rim diameter).

4 Number of carriers (attachment holes). 31 King pin angle (offset in mm).

WHAT DO THE NUMBERS AFTER THE MARKINGS MEAN (THE NUMBERS IN WINDOWS)? FOR EXAMPLE: 91 V
The number is the load index: the maximum load authorised by the tyre, ranging from 65 (290kg) to 124 (1600kg). The letter is the maximum speed not to be exceeded, ranging from Q (160 km/h) to ZR(Y) (> 300 km/h).
