CHAMPION SWIMMER
Marc Pelic is 25 years old and has won a lot of swimming competitions. Last year he won the 50 metre butterfly race with the fastest time in his country. To be the best, Marc has to work hard at his swimming six days a week. In the mornings, he swims for an hour and a half. He goes back to the swimming pool for two hours in the evenings. He also runs for an hour at lunchtimes, so he is always very tired at night. Sunday is his only free day! At the moment he can only swim for half an hour a day because he has hurt his leg. Usually, swimmers hurt their arms but that hasn't happened to Marc. Marc is very careful with his meals. He eats a lot of pasta, rice and potatoes, but very little meat. He loves cakes and chocolates, but doesn't eat them very often. Marc believes he can win a gold medal at the next Olympic Games. He will have to swim against very strong swimmers, for example, the Russian Ivan Petrov. But Marc is sure he will be the fastest.
