sandy Atlantic beachfront. Biking and kayaking are also popular activities. Anglers can throw in their lines from
the seawall along Biscayne Bay for some of the best shoreline fishing in the region. Guided tours of the
lighthouse and lighthouse keeper´s cottage are given twice daily, Thursdays through Mondays.
The Boater´s Grill offers casual waterfront dining, or picnickers can reserve a pavilion and grill their own dinner.
Bicycles, beach chairs, and umbrellas are available for rental. Overnight boat camping is allowed in No Name
Harbor, and a primitive campsite is available for organized youth groups. Located at the southern end of Key
Biscayne off the Rickenbacker Causeway, south of downtown Miami.
Lincoln Road is a pedestrian mall between Lenox Avenue and Washington Avenue on Miami Beach. Unique

Team Participation Requirements
Meetings:
Preparation for a mission trip begins several months before travel and MANDATORY MEETINGS (6/28;
7/5), fundraising and attendance to our weekly student programs ad church are a part of the process. These
events give participants and staff opportunities to get to know one another as well as communicate expectations
and continue preparations for the trip. It is necessary to plan your personal and work activities around these
meetings in order to remain current and committed to the mission trip.
Team Preparation:
As part of preparation for your trip you will need to be aware of emotional, spiritual, and physical components.
These components can impact your experience in very positive or negative ways. Here are some areas to
consider to prepare accordingly for your trip:
Emotional: everyone has a set of beliefs and a worldview that determines how you make choices and
experience life around you. This does not always line up with the beliefs of others participating on the trip or
staff leading. It is good to prepare yourself for various character traits, attitudes and systems of belief in order
appreciate varieties in others. One of the best attitudes to have is flexibility as schedules do not always go
according to plan. You are often required to adapt to situations that are not “normal” to you such as the
culture, food and living quarters. There are also occasions in which you are needed in another area on the trip
than first assigned.
Spiritual: the spiritual fitness of a person is testing like nothing else when on a mission trip. Your
highs and lows with the Lord can be much stronger than typically experienced. You will see evidence of God’s
work in your life and others around you because this is your focus. It is vital to be spiritually prepared by
reading and meditating on God’s Word, praying and being prepared to share Christ and encourage believers.
Physical: a mission trip can be physically demanding as you will be in intense heat, and walking long
distances. It is therefore beneficial to be in “mission trip” shape so that your physicality does not hinder your
team or opportunities to impact lives. It may be important to get a physical and include some exercising habits
to have your body in shape for such conditions.
