BEFOREYOUSTARTUnpacksystem&allcomponents,checkingallitemsarecompleteaspertheenclosedpacking list. 2. THENAVGARDCONTROLPANELIdentifyalocationonthebridgeconsidereasyaccessforwiringandoperation 2.1 ForbulkheadmountingPlaceenclosureagainstbulkhead&markfourdrillingpositionsusingtheenclosureholesor themountingbrackets.Refertodrawingno001C1 2.1 ForconsolemountingRefertodrawing001D1forcorrectsizeofcutoutrequired.Fitthecollarsuppliedto Navgardcontrolpanelandsecuretoconsole. 2.3 Identifythenumberofcableentriesrequireddependingonthenumberandconfigurationoftheperipheralstobe installedandanyexternalsignalstobeused.Oneentryisrequiredforeachofthefollowing: 1x24VDCpowersupply 1xforstage3(CommunalArea)alarmloop
2.4 KnockoutsarelocatedintheNavgardcontrolpanelbase.Openthecorrectnumberofknockoutsbyusingablunt punchandtappingwithahammeruntiltheypushthrough,andinstalltherequirednumberofM20glandssupplied (partnumber:101249) 2.5 MounttheNavgardcontrolpaneltotheidentifiedlocationusingthesuppliedbracketsandfittings. 3. MOUNTING RESET DEVICES In accordance with performance standards MSC.128 (75) & IEC 62616, motion sensors and reset buttons should be easily accessible from the conning position, the workstation for navigating and manoeuvring, the workstation for monitoring and the bridge wings. Visible alarms are to be visible from all operationalpositionsonthebridgewheretheOOWmayreasonablybeexpectedtobestationed. 3.1 InternalResetPushButtonmountusingthefixingssuppliedasperdrawing001H1 3.2 ExternalResetPushButtonsmountonthebridgewingsusingthefixingssuppliedasperdrawing001J1 3.3 DirectionalPIRMotionSensorstobesitedtogivefullcoverageofthebridgeareaswhichgiveproperlookout. 5.2 ExternalResetButtonsRuncablefromNavgardcontrolpaneltolocationofthepushbuttononthePortside bridgewing.RepeatthisfortheStarboardbridgewingandterminateasperdrawing001J1and001K1. 5.3 PIRMotionSensorsRuncablefromNavgardcontrolpaneltofirstPIRmotionsensorintheloop,ifmorethanone PIRmotionsensorisinstalledthenloopfromthisPIRmotionsensortothenextasperdrawingref001E1,001F1 and001G1 5.4 Stage2CabinSounder/BeaconRuncablefromNavgardcontrolpaneltolocationofthecabinsounder.Repeat thisforallcabinsbeinginstalled.Terminateaspercorrectdrawingforthedevice:001L1(SquareSounder),001M1 (RoundSounder),001N1(SounderBeacon). 5.5 Stage3Sounder/BeaconRuncablefromNavgardcontrolpaneltofirstsounder/beacon,ifmorethanone sounder/beaconisinstalledthenloopfromthefirstdevicetothenext.Terminateaspertherelevantdevice drawing:001L1(squaresounder),001M1(roundsounder),001N1(sounderbeacon) 5.6 PowerSupplyCablemustbe3core1.5mmscreenedmarineTypeApprovedcable.
