Syncrude Canada is the only private company

on the Alberta Oil 100. As a limited partnership,
the company is jointly owned by some of the
largest energy producers in Canada.

PETROBAKKEN ENERGY LTD.

Absent from this list is Petrobank Energy and

Resources, which was majority-owned by Petrobakken
and shared its production until last year. Petrobank
became an independent company on October 29, 2012,
and its production is too little to make this list.
