PROJECT GOALS
Determine general sentiments and opinions about parking in Downtown Salt Lake City Determine general sentiments, opinions and pain points when using metered on-street parking Are there specific groups of people who are experiencing unique problems or challenges with metered street parking?

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Participants were randomly selected within Davis and Salt Lake County to participate in 1-on-1 phone calls. The survey was conducted by Light House Research. Number of Questions: 30

Average Phone Call Length: 8 10 min

Great distances, walking I haven't been down there for a while, but I knew it used to be hard to find parking and it costs a lot. It's not very easy access and having to pay for it. When you park you have to walk a long way to the stores or wherever you're going.

When you include the 34 respondents who have NOT been to downtown Salt Lake City with the 33 who have been downtown, but havent parked there, the total comes to 67 respondents or 16.5% of all respondents who have not parked in downtown Salt Lake City in the past 12 months.

Cross-tabbed: Live in Davis County vs. Salt Lake County No large differences, but Salt Lake County seems to trend towards easy while Davis County is more bell shaped. With small Davis County sample size, analysis is directional at best.

Cross-tabbed: Work Downtown (84103, 84102, 84101 & 84111) vs. Dont Work Downtown No large differences. Although it appears non-downtown workers were more positive, the downtown worker sample size makes final analysis directional instead of firm. Overall, both sides trended towards easy.
