Fish Remains Working Group of the International Council for Archaeozoology was founded in 1980 (see also: http://www.alexandriaarchive.org/icaz/workfish.htm). Up to now, sixteen meetings were held successfully. The next meeting will be held in Tallinn, Estonia, where we plan 2,53 days of oral and poster presentations and 3 days of excursion presumably to the West Estonian islands Muhumaa and Saaremaa. Our conference facilities are situating in Tallinns Old Town. This town is considered as one of the best examples of Gothic architecture in Europe: many of its medieval buildings are in excellent condition and its medieval atmosphere has been preserved. Today Tallinn is the face that Estonia turns towards surging tourists enamoured with the narrow, steep cobbled streets of the Old Town and its flair for design and the arts.
