When Roger Schmidt, a 26-year-old web developer from Massachusetts, took a shortcut home from work last May, he had no way of knowing he was about to witness an alleged murder committed by members of the Giordano crime family. Now a witness for the prosecution, Schmidt has found adjusting to life in the witness relocation program a challenge.  At first, it was pretty cool, because I got to try new restaurants all the time. And I wasnt staying in one place long enough to start hating my neighbors. But around the twentieth afternoon I spent waiting for the cable guy to show up, I started to change my mind. I really like the place I have now. I feel comfortable for the first time in months.
