Post-Game Quotes
ANGELS MANAGER MIKE SCIOSCIA: Since returning to the rotation, whats the most impressive thing youve seen with Garrett? As hes got into his length hes maintained his stuff. Tonight he was effectively wild, got behind some counts, but a couple 3-0 counts he came right back and ended up getting a 3-2 slider to get a couple guys looking. He was not ahead of hitters tonighthis first-ball strike ratio wasnt goodbut his stuff played. He got back into counts, got some outs when he had to, got some double play balls. Had good stuff I just dont know if his command was as crisp tonight. Any injury update? Looks like its just a bit of a bruise and well evaluate it and see where he is in a couple days. Felix Hernandez, not an easy pitcher, and Chris Nelson gets just enough offense off him Well it was big hit. Chris got a little changeup that stayed up a little bit too much. Felix is tough and Chris killed it and got us two runs and it held up. When we strike out 15 times its tough to imagine youre gonna win, but that was a big hit and we made it hold up.
