Abstract: Contact less power system that will be able to supply power to designated devices without connecting by any wires. In this survey paper different methods developed on wireless power system will be discussed. The developers says this could be one of the greatest achievement in the context of automated and saves large number of wires and disposable batteries[1]. This technique has being implementing since 90s but now the way of being transfer of power to distant device has been changed. As the wireless power technology is based on the resonant magnetic induction but there are also electromagnetic radiation(microwaves), electrical conduction etc. are in consideration.

Introduction: This survey paper shortly discuss about the development over the wireless power transfer technology. Here are few sample research papers taken as an example and compare and contrast of development process of contact less power supply. In the process of getting transfer power from one point to another is to transfer electrons through media and generally these are done through wires or any other conductors but below there are some examples of supplying electrons without wires. This survey paper helps to bring developed and ongoing development procedures on wireless power and gives certain idea about development phase and possible outcomes[3].

There are different research carried out and methods suggested for wireless power, some of them are described as follows. According to research single phase transfer model can be used for transferring power from point A to point B through a distance. In this method they have used number of coil of destination A and destination B, which will determine the coupling factor. The number coil on both point here for creating magnetic field around. According to next research carried out recently [2] there have been able to improve the same functions from several centimetres to a meter distance power transmission. This is experimentally proved in the case of patient endoscopy inspection by a capsule inside the body. There the different technology two-hop wireless power transfer is implemented and able to raise the efficiency by more than 13% compare to previous experiment. According to [2] efficient circuits for extending power efficiency, switch mode rectifier by high rectifying is developed for more efficient transformation and on the other side a power combination circuit with higher combining efficiency is developed. These developed system also useful for others as neural recorder, implantable pain controller, drug test, and also for radio frequency identification applications. There again the research[4] technique of power supply using wave signals in coupling surface. It is one of the technique suitable for supplying power for multiple devices with smaller power source in picocells. Technically the main elements from slab dielectric wave guide creates a coupling surface for waveguide . This technology is mainly dedicated to wireless charging for devices and can work up to a meter. Conclusion: It is for sure that wireless power transfer will be able to reduce the use of wire and batteries uses. However still the scope of wireless power is under development phase and lots of different research are going on. There are different forms of power are being experimenting for transformation. Also there are few drawbacks of this technology that still it is only able to transfer power to short distance and the amount of power can be loss on the way to destination point. Another factor is cost for new technology deployment and existing electronic equipments may not be able to comply with such technology and it will be almost impossible to replace all infrastructures. In the context of wireless power it is credited to save environment by replacing possible uses of batteries with toxic to landfills[5]. Hence it is concluded that the use of wireless power transfer has huge benefits and has only few pitfalls those can be overcome by the advantages of it. In future if wireless power is able to implement for long distance and able to reduce the loss of power strength can be more research field of such technology in future.
