Welcome Back Movie Night TONIGHT (August 30th) at 7:30 in the teachers parking lot we will be hosting a welcome back movie night. We will be showing "Lilo and Stitch". No charge for admission. Small charge for concessions. Bring lawn or camp chairs. Special thanks to: Kenneth Tanner, Nadean Tanner, Karen Bleibaum, Jason May, Altoria May, Brenda Wiley, Bob Koenig, Eileen Koenig, Mr. Tony from building maintenance, Mr. Brilliant, andMs. Karen in the library for their assistance with set-up and clean up. All of these individuals are earning incentive* credit thru their time commitment this evening.

*What is the incentive program? In order to encourage parent (and staff) volunteer involvement, for each hour of time you volunteer by coming to a PTA meeting, helping with set-up, clean up, ticket taking, etc. your name will be entered into a drawing to be held at the end of the semester. Drawing items will include gift cards and vouchers for service among others ARC Stuff-The-Truck The semi-annual ARC Stuff-The-Truck Fundraiser will be Friday, September 6th through Sunday, September 8th from 8:00am-4:00pm each day! Help us fill the truck and earn $1,000 from the ARC!! Please bring your gently used clothing, household goods, and furniture to the teachers' parking lot behind the school! All donations are tax deductible! Print out the attached flyer and give it to your

neighbors, co-workers, and family! The more stuff we and put in the truck, the closer we will get to our goal of $1,000!! Barbara Diamond Art Classes Ms. Barbara Diamond will continue teaching an after school art class in the Fall here at Buena Vista, and we are thrilled to have her back! This year Ms. Diamond will teach an 8 week class and she will provide some wonderful projects and materials. Barbara Diamond is a local artist. She is also an art teacher at Bemis School of Art, and teaches after school art classes at a number of local schools. There is a fee associated with her classes, but she provides all the materials and students will have a wonderful piece of art to bring home after each class. There will be an 8 week session for Kindergarten through 6th grade, Wednesdays after school at 2:35, beginning September 25th. Space is limited in these classes, so please don't wait to sign up if you are interested! To register for classes, please follow the instructions on the attached registration form, which also has more information about Ms. Diamond and her art classes. The registration form is attached and has a complete list of the class dates and cost. We have room for about 20 students this year and spaces will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. September PTA Meeting Please make plans to join us Monday the 30th of September in the library from 2:40-3:30. Pressing issues: Fall Carnival and funds allocation. Your voice and perspective are welcome and encouraged. PTA Dues? Did you know that to be a PTA member BV PTA sends in $4.25 to the National PTA and $2.00 to the State of Colorado PTA? We want to continue to mitigate the cost of these dues for our members (but donations are gladly accepted). Proceeds from tonights Welcome Back Movie Night will go to offset these costs. Please be sure you fill out a membership envelope and return it to a board member so we get you your member card and send in your dues.
