Saturday, August 31st, 2013 Dear prospective applicants, After a great 2012-2013, the time has come for YouthCan For International Dialogue (YFID) to begin recruiting for the upcoming year. Founded in 2008, YFID is a federally incorporated non-profit organization, recognized by the International Diplomatic Engagement Association (IDEA) as the official Canadian Organizing Committee for the annual Y8 and Y20 Summits. YFIDs executive team has historically been comprised of alumni from past Summits. Though the Y8 & Y20 Summits have long been the focus of YFID, we seek to expand our operations domestically and internationally for the coming year. As such, we are currently recruiting volunteers to apply for several director positions, including: 1. Vice-President External Affairs 2. Director of Recruitment 3. Director of Sponsorship; and, 4. Creative Director. Given our ambitious plan for the year ahead, we expect applicants to be prepared to make a significant time commitment and to be highly involved in these positions. We seek individuals with extensive teamwork and leadership experience, a natural interest and degree of expertise in global affairs, excellent communication skills, and a proven record of achievement. Executive Application External Portfolio 1. Vice-President of External Affairs The Vice-President of External Affairs (VPEA) shall be responsible for overseeing public relations, external engagement, maintaining and fostering global relationships with other national corporate bodies equivalent to YFID, and the overall recruitment and training of the Canadian delegation. a. Director of Recruitment The Director of Recruitment shall be responsible for the recruitment of Canadian delegates for the annual Y8 and Y20 Summits and any other annual national or international gatherings. The Director of Recruitment shall ensure the entire Canadian delegation is recruited with sufficient time prior to these gatherings in order to prepare, train and organize. b. Director of Sponsorship The Director of Sponsorship shall be responsible for the procurement of annual sponsorship agreements with external organizations, banks, and corporations, and shall work directly with the Vice-President of External

SELECTION PROCESS
Delegates will be selected via the following: The President of YouthCan For International Dialogue will first evaluate all applications.

Executive Application Vice President Positions will be

assigned and chosen by the President of YouthCan For International Dialogue in consultation with the current YFID Executives. Applicants for the Director positions will be narrowed down to a maximum of two candidates for each position by the President of YouthCan for International Dialogue.

Minutes for the Annual Meeting, as well as the personal statements submitted within this application will be posted to the general members within 48 hours after the Annual Meeting.
