God has the power to soften and warm the hardest and coldest of hearts! A kind word a genuine smile a random act of goodness are all, along with many other expressions, ways for us to show the love of God. The Coca-Cola slogan fits well Its the Real Thing! People are looking for something real. Not a copy or counterfeit expression of love. Read 1 Corinthians 13:1-13 it is known as the love chapter. Be honest and real with yourself about how well you are loving. Ask God to help you and change you into a person who is loving and allowing yourself to be loved. Then your expression of love to others will be real and help them connect with God.

Message from Pastor Reid

Taking the Risk Experiencing the Blessing!
Faith Christian Church has seen the Hand of God for the last eight months. Humble beginnings have built a foundation for God to not only work in us, but also through us. Our common ground in Jesus Christ our love for God and each other our dependence on the Spirit of God to direct and empower these core elements, along with our personal devotion (Bible, prayer, fellowship), has now positioned us to experience the blessing of God. The blessings of God come to those who step in faith. I have a framed saying in my study only those who risk going too far will ever know how far they can go. The risks and the blessings go hand -in-hand together. The greater the risk, the greater the blessing! John Ortberg is the author of, If You Want To Walk on Water, Youve Got to Get Out of the Boat. The book reflects on Matthew 14 where Jesus and Peter walk on the water. When you step in faith as Peter did it means:
- facing your fears and choosing not to let fear have the last word - discovering and embracing the unique calling of God on your life - experiencing the power of God in your life to do something you are not capable of doing on your own.
