Rotorua is one of the most famous destinations in New Zealand, and has a long history of welcoming visitors. From the moment people arrive in Rotorua they know they're somewhere quite different. Agrodome Sheep Show:

The world-famous and live Sheep Show at the Agrodome is an exciting and informative insight into agriculture in New Zealand. See 19 sheep breeds walk the stage, Sheep shearing, Sheepdog demonstrations, Opportunity to hand-milk a cow on stage, lamb feeding and an exciting sheep auction.

Guided Tours leave on the hour every hour from the main courtyard. There is a short and often amusing introduction to the valley as visitors learn to pronounce Whakarewarewa.

Rotowhio Marae:

The Marae, meeting place, was the centre of everyday tribal life, sheltering eating, sleeping, work places and most importantly the sacred meeting house, Te Aronui a Rua. It is here where daily cultural concerts, Kapa Haka, occur under the gaze of carved ancestors.

Te Rito, Weaving School:

Te Rito, the baby flax, is sister to the carving school and is also dedicated to preserving the ancient craft. Weaving of baskets, clothing was a practical part of Maori survival and like carving; each strand had a purpose and story.

Kiwi House:

Te Puia is dedicated to the survival of New Zealands national endangered bird, the Kiwi. In a natural and protected habitat, Kiwi pair, Kenny and Colorado, is far from birds of a feather. Where Colorado is shy, Kenny is a bossy diva. While they educate and entertain others have flourished under Te Puias successful Kiwi breeding programme, becoming the first Kiwi birds born in captivity without human intervention or artificial incubation.

Whakarewarewa Geothermal Valley:

A raw and powerful journey into a thermal wonderland some 40,000 years old. Mud pools, hissing steam and geysers pay tribute to the presence of Mother Nature. The most famous geyser, Pohutu meaning big splash, can erupt up to 30 meters high in front of you. Theres no other geyser in the world this accessible.

NZONE The Ultimate Jump


NZONE 'The ultimate Jump' has been operating since 1990, employing over 40 highly trained staff at Rotorua centre. It takes a certain kind of person to jump out of an aircraft into

thin air. It takes courage. Harnessed by space-age materials to an experienced tandem master, expect sensory overload as you step out of the aircraft door and for some 45 seconds plummet towards the ground at 200kph. Catch your experience on NZONE cam using the latest digital equipment. All altitudes include flight of approximately 20 minutes and a five to seven minute ride under parachute canopy before gently landing back on terra firma. No previous experience necessary. Activities K Jet: Kawarau Jet is based on the shores of scenic Lake Rotorua and offers an endless range of activities, combining sight seeing and the cultural aspects of the surrounding area with speed, spins and adrenaline.
