International Year One


This programme is specifically designed to prepare students for direct entry to the second year of an undergraduate degree. You can choose to study a three term, three and a half term or four term International Year One, depending on your academic and English levels. There are five routes: Business and Management Computer Science Engineering Journalism Media Studies

Entry Date September 2013 (Business and Management and Engineering only) or January 2014 (all routes) Three terms (September to June or January to August) Academic: Good high school grades plus evidence of further study, or equivalent English language: IELTS 5.0 or equivalent*
Please note that Journalism requires IELTS 5.5

Course Length Entry Requirements:

All routes are modular in structure. You will study core modules common to each route plus subject-specific modules, each carefully designed to focus on the academic areas most useful to your chosen degree.

I have friends from all over the world. My teachers have been really helpful and supportive. Im looking forward to starting my second year and when I graduate I would like to become a Mechanical Engineer in Saudi Arabia.

Preparation for Masters Study


The Pre-Masters is a two-term programme designed to give international students the skills, knowledge and confidence to succeed on a Masters degree. It combines academic subjects, study skills and English Language training. There are two Pre-Masters routes Business and Management Engineering

Entry Date Course Length Entry Requirements April 2014 For Masters starting in September 2014 April to August Academic: Recognised higher/advanced diploma in related subject area, or a degree (related subject for Engineering). English language: IELTS 5.5, TOEFL, Pearson Test of English, or equivalent Age Students are normally aged 20 years+

Following successful completion of your Pre-Masters programme, and on achieving the required grades, you will be able to progress onto one of the following Masters degrees. Business and Management MSc Accounting MBA Master of Business Administration* MSc Marketing MSc International Business MBA Finance* MSc Human Resource Management Engineering MSc Sustainable Power and Energy Engineering
*No work experience is required for entry to the MBA programmes.

Doris, Nigeria Pre-Masters Business and Management Progressing to MA International Business Management I chose Lincoln because of the environment. The University has a modern infrastructure which is really nice and the library is impressive.
