Wichtige TeilnehmerInformation Important information for all participants

www.scc-events.com

Dear Participants, the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON is celebrating its anniversary, and youll be at the party! When the starting shot was fired at the premier in the Grunewald Forest on October 13, 1974, not one of the 286 participants could have imagined how this event would develop over the coming decades. The course made the leap into the city in 1981. In the following years, the BERLIN-MARATHON developed into one of the largest road races in the world. In 2003, it moved into the heart of the city. The course with the start and finish between the Brandenburg Gate and the Victory Column (Siegessule) draws 40,000 runners and 8,000 skaters every year. This programme includes all of the important information you need to know about the BMW BERLINMARATHON: How do I get to the starting area? What all is included in the supporting programme? What food and drinks will be provided along the course, and how do I recognize the pacemakers? This participant information magazine will answer all of these and more questions. Please take the time to read through it carefully, so you can arrive at the race without stress and simply enjoy the big anniversary party as you run. We wish you a great time at the 40 BMW BERLINMARATHON.
