Distinguished Key Clubber Checklist
Dear Fellow Key Clubbers,
The Distinguished Key
Clubber Award is presented each
year to the Key Clubbers who have
gone above and beyond what is
expected of them and has served
their homes, schools, and
communities to their best abilities.
Now we all know that
filling out the Distinguished Key
Clubber Application every year
seems to be not only an
intimidating task, but also a long
and grueling process. Well, it
doesn’t have to be anymore! As
long as you follow this checklist and
fulfill each of the requirements as
best you can, you’ll be set when it
comes time to completing the
application.
This year’s application will
include a points system where each
service project/event will be worth a
certain number of points. The
more projects you participate in,
the more points you’ll accumulate
and the higher the chances of
getting the Distinguished Key
Clubber Award.

Number of points for each criterion is still subject to change. You will be notified of the final
point value of each criterion soon, please check back with your Lieutenant Governor.
Required Criteria:

Governor’s Project (Our World, Our Focus)
o Participation in at least 1 Governor’s Project

Major Emphasis Program Service Initiative (Live 2 Learn)
o Participation in at least 1 service project for Live2Learn

District Projects [Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Center, Kiwanis Pediatric Lyme Disease, Kamp
Kiwanis, Local Causes, Juvenile Diabetes, Save the Music Foundation, Ronald McDonald House
Charities, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital]
o Participation in at least 4 out of the 8 District Projects

International Service Partners [UNICEF, March of Dimes, Children’s Miracle Network]
o Participation in at least 1 out of the 3 projects

Advocacy
o Write/sign at least 3 letters or participate in at least 1 petition

Divisional Involvement
o Attend at least 3 divisional meetings and 1 divisional rally
Additional Criteria (must meet 3 out of 5 in this section)

Service Spotlight Article or Division Newsletter Article
o Submission of at least 1 service spotlight article to District Webmaster Victor Ma
or District Editor Mandy Wong, OR one article for your Division Newsletter

Statement on Offices or Positions you’ve held
o Statement on what positions or offices you’ve held and how you served Key Club
International in that position

District and International Involvement
o Attendance to a Leadership Training Conference, International Convention, or
Key Leader

Involvement with K-Family
o Attendance and participation in Kiwanis or other K-Family Branch meetings, K-
Family Day of Service, Joint K-Family Service Project or Event

Other service or fundraising projects not related to those listed above
