Statement From Senate Democratic Conference Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins
Twelve years ago today our state, nation and way of life were attacked by terrorists intent on striking fear into the hearts of all Americans. As we remember those we lost on that fateful day, we must also take pride in our heroic first responders who bravely rushed into harms way to help their fellow New Yorkers. Their courage, dedication and selflessness should serve as an inspiration and example to us all. We grieve today, and all days, for those we lost, but we should also redouble our efforts to unite as a nation, heal our divisions and serve our fellow citizens. ### Follow on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/NYSenDems New York State Senate | DemocraticConferenceNews@nysenate.gov | 518-455-2415
