Justification According to the 1st level on the Maslows Hierarchy of Needs: Physiologic needs - The problem is an actual health problem and requires more immediate intervention Degree of Problem: The problem is highly prioritized because it is life threatening. Interpretation: This is highly prioritized because this is an actual problem. The nurse or the health care provider has the necessary resources to solve this problem such as time, skills, knowledge and money. Eliminating this problem may help to prevent further complications and completely eliminate the actual problem. According to Maslows hierarchy of human needs that this problem will received the second highest prioritization. This is one of the strongest needs because if the person were deprived of all needs, the physiological one will come first in the persons search for satisfaction. It might cause unpleasant sensory and emotional experience arising from actual problem or potential tissue damage or described in terms of damage. Pain is signal that something is wrong and existing whenever the person says it does. Like the pain in the right iliac. This nursing diagnosis will received 3th prioritization because this may cause further weakness/stress that will not contribute in achieving fast recovery of the patient and may lead to alteration of immune system. Enough time of sleep is necessary for the healing process of the patients abdomen. The nursing diagnostic received the 4th prioritization due to insufficient intake of nutrients to meet metabolic needs. This may affect the nutritional sustainment of cell of the body causing now systematic imbalances. This nursing diagnosis will received 5th prioritization because this may cause further weakness/stress that will not contribute in achieving fast recovery of the patient.
