THE CLIENT
The client is the leading strip metal process line equipment manufacturer in India, manufacturing a wide range of products including
Acid Pickling Lines, Slitting Lines, Cut-to-Length lines, Galvanizing Lines, Color Coating Lines , Tension leveling Lines, Recoiling Lines,
Degreasing Lines and a number of other special purpose lines. All these products are specially made as per the customers’
requirements and the company is a typical Engineer-to-order company. The client has an office in Thane, near Mumbai and two
factories, both in and around Thane.

THE CHALLENGES
The company has grown multifold over a period of last 10 years and so have the data and complexities associated with information
management. The company was using small home-grown applications for handling various parts of their work processes like
accounts and finance, design management, production planning. The main challenge was faced in terms of availability of complete
and accurate data. Some critical processes were totally manual and lacked interfaces with the other process components. The
company, being an ETO one, had specific requirements that were not getting addressed by the current systems.
