    Fall Workshops, Classes & Events

    Adult Mask-Making Workshop with Sharon Armstrong Saturday & Sunday, 21 & 22 10 am - 5 pm $35 Center of Creativity founder, Sharon Armstrong is well known for these amazing healing workshops that take you on a journey of self discovery. Beginning Ceramics with Steven Hall 5 Sessions Tuesdays, September 24 - October 22 3-5 pm $50 (Clay included) Teen Art and Self Discovery with Sharon Armstrong Thursdays August 29 through October 10 FREE This workshop has been ongoing for two years and partners with Behavioral Health. Between sessions we offer a drop-in, Teen Open Studio on Thursdays at the same time. Womens Focus Group with Ruth Nichols 8 Sessions on Wednesdays from 6:30-8 starting September 25 - November 6 FREE Artists Studio Tour presented by Calaveras County Arts Council Saturday & Sunday, September 28 & 29, 10 am to 5 pm Passports are $10 each Available at the center The Creative Group with Larry Anderson Wednesdays starting September 18 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm First Session Barn Gallery Donations to the center are greatly appreciated. A gathering of creative people to explore and share their unique talents & ideas. Yoga with Katie Aguirre Tuesdays, every other week - October 1, 15, 29 3:30 - 4:30 pm $10 per session This is a gentle class designed to offer a workout for all with an emphasis on releasing tension. Katie is a wonderful teacher, always loved by all. She also teaches at NY Fitness in Jackson. Class size is limited, so please call 209-498-2085 Crafting Workshop with Sheri Boesch

    Wednesday, November 13, 4-hour session from 10 am - 2:30 pm $15 Sheri offers a super fun experience creating unique gifts or wearable art items using found objects and various interesting materials. She is known for her charming art cards & wild scarves & boas. Cartooning with Deanna Furtney 6 Sessions on Saturdays, October 5 - November 23 $25 Deanna is the centers very own Garden Goddess. Together with generous center volunteers she has created the many zen garden spaces at the center. She is also a fabulous artist and is one of our most generous and dedicated supporters. She can be found at the center on most Friday mornings. Beginning Drawing Workshop with Angelique Lionheart Saturday & Sunday October 18 & 19, 1-3 pm $20 Angelique is a fine artist, writer and graphic designer. She has studied at the Art Institute and at The Academy of Art and has offered classes in Calaveras and Marin Counties. Open Mic with WindHorse on Friday - Music, Poetry, Performance Art October 4 Outside by the veggie garden 5:30 Donations to the center are greatly appreciated. We have a small sound system, so bring instruments, voice and short performance art. Family Play Dates presented by First 5 of Calaveras FREE - First Saturday of the month starting on November 2 through April 5, 2014 10:00 - 11:30 am Everyone welcome . . . fun and educational activities to inspire creativity.
