REVOLVE:- adding or removing of material at any angle about the axis is called revolve. Revolve insert other wise select the revolve feature from tool bar. in revolve feature depth has to be mentioned in degress. in the tool chest of revolve feature a newly added feature is axis of revolvation. Three are 2 ways of specifying the axis of revolution internal axis of revolution external axis of revolution. In internal axis of revolution, while drawing the sketch or cls , axis will be drawn in external axis type, after drawing the sketch, the axis will be selected externally. ( here the axis may be default axis or any edge, datum axis etc). CONDITION FOR REVOLVE FEATURE: for extrusion solid closed profile or cls can be accepted. while cutting both open and close can be accepted. while cutting in thickness if the sketch is away from the axis , the thickness will be added externally (out side). if the sketch is opened towards the axis , the thickness will be added externally or symmentrically. when we have two or more center lines in our sketch, if we want to convert required center line into axis of revolution then go for sketch feature tool axis of revolution. Linear type:- sequence of operation. First select the surface which you want the hole go for select placement in secondary reference select any reference for offset distance ok. Radial type:- first create one datum axis on front and top select the surface on which you want the hole secondary reference select axis and any one plane by ctrl ok. Diameter :- same as radial type only but here instead of giving radial diameter we will give diametrically dimension. Co- axis:- it is a type of hole which is placed on axis. Primary axis. Secondary -- surface. STD HOLES:three types of holes, unc unf iso

In std type of holes, we can able to use counter sink and counter bore options to get counter bore and counter sink hole. SHELL :- it is used to convert solid section in to this section while converting solid into thin feature ,we can remove unwanted surface. RIB:- it is used for supporting the objects , to which we want to reduce the deflections. 2 types of rib. circular rib

straight rib. In circular rib, when rib thickness is greater than or equal to the cylindrical dia , then rib will fail Sequence of operation :- first extrude L shape then go for a sketch select the plan take the reference draw the sketch by taking rib option ok . (check flip direction). Draft:- defined as a tool which will convert linear surfaces to inclined surface with resp to angular references. Go for draft tool and select references. Draft surfaces:- surface which goes to inclined select surfaces which has today. Draft hinges:- hinges are those surfaces with the draft surfaces as inclined at an angle with respect to hinge surfaces must be + to draft surfaces provides drafting angle and tool chest major draft angle is 0-30. Split type:- in split by objects projected sketch wont be selected as an object. PATTERN:first extrude an object and again extrude object an that select the

TRAJECTORY:BOUNDERY BLEND TOOL :- it is a surface module tool , used to create a surface module tool, used to create a surface b/w 2 pre drawn X- section, the X- section must be drawn on 2offset planes respectively this tool also controls boundaries of the created surfaces with 2 lines, This means not only creates blend between two surfaces but also it controls the boundaries of blend. VARIABLE SECTION SWEEP :- is used to produce or to generate a solid ar surface features on a trajectory path by controlling it sides, by creating a chain. Here we can also remove the material. Ex:- first create a rectangle solid in part. Sequence of operation :- insert variable sectional sweep select one edge of solid select sketch icon sketch trajectory to above the surface of the solid ok. Advanced feature:- N-sided patch:- will creates a surface, by selecting the edges or datum sp lines of closed profile. The surface will be created with in that profile.
