WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

WE GATHER TO GLORIFY GOD

PRELUDE Dialogue (Livre dOrgue) CALL TO WORSHIP One: Many: One: Many: One: Many: Living God, you have given your word for us to treasure and your justice for us to declare with our lips. You have given your commandments as a sure path for us and your decrees for our richest delight. You have given your Son so that we may have life in its fullness and your Spirit, who empowers our way and illumines your word. Nicolas diGrigny, 1672-1703

HYMN 85 (Red Hymnal) Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise PRAYER OF CONFESSION (IN UNISON) Holy God, we long to follow you, to walk in the way that you have shown us;

Joanna

to know your commandments, and to practice them whole-heartedly. But we confess that we are easily distracted, lured away by our own interests and desires, enticed by the attitudes and practices of the world around us. Forgive us. Rekindle in us a hunger for your word and your way. We pray in the name of Jesus, the word and way made flesh. Amen. ASSURANCE OF PARDON GLORIA PATRI 579 (Blue Hymnal) Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, Amen.
At this time, children 9 years old and younger are invited to come to the front of the sanctuary with our volunteer leaders. The children and their leaders will worship in the chapel. They will be in "Children's Church" for the remainder of the morning and will meet parents in the social room.

ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy Catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen. PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE AND THE LORDS PRAYER Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

WE GIVE THANKS TO GOD

PRESENTATION OF TITHES, OFFERINGS, AND GIFTS ANTHEM Tune My Heart to Sing Gods Praise
Come, thou Fount of every blessing, tune my heart to sing Thy grace; Streams of mercy, never ceasing, call for songs of loudest praise. Teach me some melodious sonnet, sung by flaming tongues above; praise His name, Im fixed upon it, name of Gods redeeming love! Here I raise my Ebenezer, hither by Thy help Ive come; And I hope, by Thy good pleasure, safely to arrive at home. Jesus sought me when a stranger, wandering from the fold of God; He, to rescue me from danger, bought me with His precious blood. O to grace how great a debtor daily Im constrained to be! Let Thy goodness, like a fetter, bind my wandering heart to Thee: Prone to wander, Lord, I know it, Im prone to leave the God I love; Heres my heart, O, take and seal it, seal it for Thy courts above.
Tune: HOLY MANNA, Attrib. William Moore, 1825. Text: Robert Robinson, 1758.

Lloyd Larson, b. 1954

DOXOLOGY 592 (Blue Hymnal) Praise God, from whom all blessings flow; Praise Him, all creatures here below; Praise Him above, ye heavenly host; Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen. PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING
