Roadmap Objectives

To gather sectoral information that would serve as inputs to the national comprehensive industrial strategy as envisioned in the PDP 2011-2016 To serve as guide in the crafting of the annual IPP To aid in defining government positions/strategy for trade and investment negotiations To identify value-chain gaps to guide investments promotion

Possible Areas of Collaboration

Sharing of industry studies / updates on sectoral roadmaps on hand, and/or industry information that would include, among others:

situationer/profile of the sector/industry leading players (either MNCs or local companies) competitor countries cost of production and cost of doing business relevant laws, regulations and policies that drive sector/industry development (including government support and incentives and existing programs for sector) latest technologies and trends global issues besetting the sector value proposition in relation to the sector (to address valuechain gaps) other relevant information including sources of data

Possible Areas of Collaboration

Provision of financial assistance to industry associations in the preparation/updating and/or enhancement of existing roadmaps Membership in Operational Management Team and review of completed roadmaps

Designation of sectoral focal persons Participation in sectoral meetings, focus group discussions and workshops Provision of information on capacity building activities that may be attended by relevant stakeholders Provision of inputs/comments in the finalization of the sectoral roadmaps, value propositions and the comprehensive national industrial strategy Cooperation during the formulation and implementation of sectoral roadmaps, value propositions and the comprehensive national industrial strategy Close coordination in formulation and implementation of sectoral policies and regulations

Sector Industry Cluster Covered Products - Rubber - Coffee - Engineered Bamboo - Coconut Products - Hogs - Poultry Industry Association / Government Agency Of the 32 rural-based products covered by Industry Clustering & Value Chain Program funded by JICA, the 6 sectors listed on the left have been identified based on meeting between the IDG and RODG. 5-Year Strategic Development Plans with specific programs, projects, activities for implementation on year-on-year basis in the areas of production and productivity, technology assistance and product development, financing and marketing, regional coverage, sectoral profiles prepared for such sectors. Industry Cluster Managers/Product designated by RODG of DTI.
