Seeking to interview African male who emigrated to Pacific Northwest in the 60s, 70s, or 80s from the African continent. Looking for dynamic stories with many layers. There will be opportunities for additional casting later of others whose

stories do not fit the categories mentioned, so please feel free to submit. Also, if you know anyone who might be interested, please forward this casting call to them as well. Part of the interviews will be used to cut a TRAILER to promote the project.

Individuals must be committed to continuing with the project as it seeks non-profits, etc., for production and distribution. Individuals will be

to build an online presence, acquire funding from fiscal agents, investors, required to sign standard film Release Forms. The finished documentary project is to be submitted to film festivals, film markets, and to Public Access TV. This is a non-paid documentary film and all interviews will be

produced as authentic, candid responses in the interviewees own words, with the exception of extensive cursing. However, I dont mind some light profanity if it is a part of your storytelling language.

SYNOPSIS
Settling the Pacific Northwest: A Black Experience is a 90minutedocumentary (currently in pre-production) shot in High Definition on Mini DV that explores how the impact of black migration to the Pacific Northwest (Oregon,Idaho,Washington) and specifically the Puget Sound region, forever changed the landscape of the city and the political, social and cultural lives of African and African-Americans living there. Yet, as African-Americans and other black immigrants from the Diaspora became more visible and developed a more prominent stance in their respective communities many challenges ensued. Settling the Pacific Northwest incorporates on-camera interviews with archival footage.
