Why do people lie?

Everybody lies and we should admit this statement. Lying is a conventional, trivial phenomenon and true that human beings lie without pondering over and feeling pangs of conscience. The overwhelming majority of people dont address themselves a question to lie or not to lie. There is no field of human activity where persons dont encounter the deception. Therefore, I would like to elucidate some causes of lying. Firstly, deception can be as a component of psychological prevention of personality when somebody is afraid of something or if he or she wants to elude the emotionally difficult situation. Each of us is capable of foreknowing the response of people round us to our activities and actions, since people have definite notions about the world, morality, justice. Thereby, more a flexible person adapts to the norm of others without accepting it. For instance, most of us hid the school record book from our parents. Secondly, some researchers point out deception to be a national genetic trait. George Duprat in his book Why people lie? Psychology of lies detects that some nations and countries have one or another way of lying. If we tell somebody about cultural prerequisites for dishonest behavior we will see that cunning considers as a positive feature of character. We have to turn to Russian fairy tales, for example, Masha and the Bear. Hence children learn the moral principle the deception can be different and, moreover, there are permissible type of lying in the society which is called a white lie. Thirdly, people strive for misleading anothers, concerning their personality, ascribing to themselves character traits which they dont have. In order to make the grade we have to work hard but, on the other hand, we are able to lie about our facilities and opportunities. As a result, an envious and ambitious person will exaggerate his or her significance and depreciate others merits. The problem of deception as an emotional or mental imperfection is present in any reason of lying. Fourthly, according to the Doctor of Philosophy Paul Ekman protecting someone else from harm is the next most important reason why people tell serious lies. The famous American series Lie to me is based on his scientific research. He proves that we would not like anyone who we care about to be punished. Therefore, human beings try very hard to conceal something and not to betray them. Sometimes we think that these people are wrong or guilty, but on the other hand, knowing they are in danger doesnt allow to leave the closest people to the mercy of fate. In conclusion, Id like to say that there are some existing reasons of lies but people can create many of these ones, because its an effort to protect ourselves and relieve from responsibility. It is more complicated to find reasons to tell the truth. But it is worth trying!
