Dos and Donts

Dos
A signed note from the parent/guardian is required following a students absence from school.
Please call the main office each day that your child is out. Please call the school nurse if a student has been absent for 3 days.
If a student needs to be dismissed prior to the end of the school day, a signed note from the parent/guardian should be brought in to school and given to the classroom teacher. For early dismissal/sickness, the parent/guardian is required to come to the Main Office and sign the child out. First point of contact will be with the teacher if there is problem/issue with your child. Please dont call the principal or assistant principal unless you have already spoken to the teacher.

If the student is out for longer than 5 days, a physicians note is requested before the student may return to school.

If your child is tardy/absent:

5 Days Letter sent home 10 days Conference with Principal 15 days Truant Officer is contacted

Take a vacation during school time. Frequent absences negatively impact instruction. Family vacations should be scheduled when school is not in session.
