Hearing Gods Word

A WELCOME and ANNOUNCEMENTS Childrens Time: ANTHEM:

*CALL to WORSHIP Come, sisters and brothers, and gather together. From all the bruises of a busy week, lets gather. Plunge your sorrow and worry, into the fountain of life. Here, let us find comfort and hope. Bring your questions and doubts to the very heart of God. Here, let us find a peace that lightens our load, and restores our faith. Let us truly praise Gods great and holy name! *HYMN #48G Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise *CALL TO and PRAYER of CONFESSION Redeeming God, you bring life out of dead ends, and hope in the midst of despair. Forgive us for doubting that you are still at work even in the darkest hour, even in the most painful moments. Forgive us for our hesitant action, our cautious compassion, or our too-frequent reluctance. Redeeming God, teach us a stillness that leads to acts of kindness, and clarity of vision. Shape in us a trust that leads to faithful witness and bold compassion. Form us in your love that loosens our worry, and eases our anger. Redeeming God, make us true disciplesfilled with love, acting with justice, and living out hope; now hear us through Jesus Christ, the light of the whole world, as we continue to confess in silence

THE APOSTLES CREED I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth: And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, Suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; The third day he rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
