Golfers waited out a brief thunderstorm at the clubhouse but finally made it out onto the links. Thank you to all of the golfers and luncheon guests who joined us for a great day. 4. LAMAR LECTURE ~ OCTOBER 12

First Presbyterian Church, Albany, (corner of State and Willett) continues its 250 th anniversary Celebration with the Lamar Lecture on Saturday, October 12, at 4:00 p.m. The speaker will be the Rev. Dr. Thomas G. Long, professor of preaching at Candler School of Theology, Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia. Professor Long will speak on Trouble in the Old Mainline Churches: Parabolic Answers to Honest Questions. The lecture is free and open to the public. 5. HUNGER ACTION STATEWIDE MEETING IN ALBANY

Hunger Action Network Annual Gathering Monday, September 30 from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM

The meeting will help establish Hunger Action Networks issue priorities for 2014 and include guest speakers, panel discussion, and Workshops. Workshop topics will include: Single Payer Healthcare, the Farm Bill, State Budget and Revenue Issues, 2014 state legislative agenda. The meeting will take place at Westminster Presbyterian Church: 85 Chestnut St., Albany NY.
