The time is drawing near for the Heritage of Flight Festival. Last year was a great success and we hope this year we can do more of the same. Three things we can hope for, good weather, plenty of help and lots of customers. The weather we cant control, the amount of help is up to you, and if we cook it, they will come. Everyones Help Needed (Lodge, Chapter and Council Members)

Friday Oct. 4 Classic Cruise - In 4 - 10 PM
The weekend Festival opens with a Classic Cruise-In. Last year they had hundreds of cars displayed on main street from Rt 571 to Lake Ave. 50/50 Raffle. Live Entertainment all night. Stop by our food booth in front of the Temple.

Saturday Oct. 5 Parade and Festival 7:30 am - 11 pm


Parade of Planes and Community Parade - 11 am Carnival rides, Games, Concessions & Vendors, Bake Sale, 50/50 raffle, Toddler Rocket Races, Pedal Plane Fly-Offs, Live Entertainment. Sertoma Pancake Breakfast 7 - 10:30 am., Bake Sale & Silent Auction 9 am - 6 pm., Parade 11am., Attempt to break world record for largest group of chicken dancers 1:30 pm at the main stage area., Free Horse drawn Carriage Rides 3 - 6 pm., Wing eating contest 6 pm.

A sign up schedule is posted on the bulletin board at the lodge. Please check your schedules and allocate some of your time for our Food Booth. We encourage you to bring your wives, girlfriends, family members and even friends that may be interested in Masonry. Heritage of Flight Parade Saturday Oct. 5 @ 11 AM


Worlds Largest Airplane Parade. The Dayton Antioch Shine will again have all their units in the parade. Tell your friends and family, bring the kids and grand children, this will be a parade to remember. New Carlisle Lodge will participate in the parade with a trailer to ride on or you can walk beside it and pass out candy. If you would like to walk or ride meet us in the area of the Methodist Church on Main St. at 10:30 am.

The following Grand Lodge Legislation will be discussed at our October Stated Meeting
Our three delegates to the Grand Lodge will be voting on the following legislation and would like your input. Listed below are the items to be considered and will be discussed at our October meeting. The full text of each proposed change will be available at the October meeting. Numbered items will be voted on. Lettered items were received after last years Grand Lodge. 1. Change the Education and Information Committee into the Education, Leadership, Membership Committee. 2. Change the Chairman of the Education and Information Committee on the Advisory Board to the Chairman of the Education, Leadership, Membership Committee. 3. Delete Allowance for The Fraternal Correspondent. 4. Petitioners shall pay a fee for their background screening. The screening will be preformed by the Grand Secretary. 5. Legislation was withdrawn 6. Grand Lodge Endowed (Life) memberships may be transferred when member transfers or dimits to another Lodge. 7. Create a Pioneer Lodge to operate as a Civil War reenactment Lodge. 8. Delete paragraph 4.02 (g) pertaining to the Old Grand Lodge Building in Worthington. 9. Allow alcoholic beverages in areas not defined as Masonic Lodge Rooms. A. New Lodges formed to consolidate 2 or more lodges will first meet under a dispensation until a Charter is presented. B. Investment Committee - Delete words restricting distribution of Endowment fund not to exceed 5%. C. Petition for Degrees shall lie over for no less than 2 weeks to a subsequent stated or special meeting. D. Clarify that voting for application for affiliation with a dimit is by ballot. E. Add the definition of Gambling and Games of Chance per the Ohio Legal Code.

CHAPTER / COUNCIL Chapter #57 Royal Arch Masons and Council #57 Royal and Select Masons are back to work following their summer recess. But they have not been idle, 13 members including their wives were busy working a food booth at the Dayton Dragons games in an effort to support these two worthy organizations. Looking forward to Grand Council on the 7 th & 8 th and Grand Chapter on the 9th & 10 th of October. Tuesday Oct. 15th is our next stated meeting. Reaffirmation Sunday for Royal Arch Masons will be on Oct 20 th time and place TBA. Oct. 15 @ 7:00 pm Chapter/ Council Stated
