Compassion
QUOTES:
If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion. -Dalai Lama There is always a reciprocal action between the collective and the individual mind. As we look at God, God looks at us. -Anonymous With all the news reports of the Boston Marathon bombing that took place this past Monday, it is common to spin oneself into feelings of victim mode. To lose oneself in the headlines that detail chaos, limitation and fear. These reports can lead to a cultural conditioning of I am not enough, we are not enough, and ultimately there is not enough, - protection, safety, and peace. As spiritually awake and aware individuals that we are, one of the opportunities that we have as professional caregivers, when confronted with such reports is to remember to practice opening your heart through compassion. With the understanding that we all were born with varying degrees of ignorance, we know that the headlines and all the talk surrounding this tragic event is oftentimes grounded in the consciousness of fear. One response could be to reinforce this idea with our agreement, or we can immediately and clearly affirm the truth as articulated from many enlightened individuals who have come down from the ages.
