SAMPLE DESCRIPTION TufShield submitted two (2) types of wood samples (coated) identified as: - Teak - Mahogany DTL provided adhesion tape (3M 898) to TufShield to place on the samples prior to coating and left half of the tape exposed from which to pull from. QUV TESTING PER ASTM G154-06 Exposure Exposure Cycle Results Twelve (12) specimens (6 Teak and 6 Mahogany) for 500 hours. 8 hours of U.V.A. at 70C Followed by 4hrs of condensation at 50C All (12) specimens showed a moderate amount of darkening. OZONE TESTING PER ASTM D1171-99 Exposure Results Ten (10) specimens (5 Teak and 5 Mahogany) for 70hrs at 50pphm ozone/40C. All (10) specimens showed no visual evidence of change after exposure. THERMOSHOCK TESTING Exposure Twelve (12) specimens (6 Teak and 6 Mahogany) for 80 cycles, one (1) cycle consisting of the following exposures 1hr at -40C 1hr at 110C Ramp time of <60 seconds Repeat for a total of 80 cycles All (12) specimens showed a moderate amount of darkening after exposure.
