Message from Pastor Reid

Gods Game Plan!
This past weekend the Carolina Panthers, our own in state Professional Football Team, played the New York Giants in Bank of America Stadium which is in downtown Charlotte NC. The victory helped the Panthers avoid a third loss to open the season. The Panther defense immobilized the Giants explosive offense Quarterback Eli Manning was sacked seven times. Panther Quarterback Cam Newton and Carolina offense scored thirty-eight points the Carolina defense did not allow New York to score. Our God provides both a spiritual defense and offensive game plan. The defense immobilized the forces of evil in Jesus Christs life, death, and resurrection sin and death were conquered. Today we continue to immobilize the forces of evil through the armor God supplies. Ephesians 6:13-18 records: Therefore put on the full armor of God so that when the day of evil comes you may be able to stand your ground, and after y ou have done everything to stand. Stand firm then with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this take up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit which is the Word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions. As evil is immobilized we have the opportunity to accomplish Gods offensive game plan. He desires that all people come to salvation by entering into and sustained in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Consider Matthew 28:19-20 which records: Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, even to the end of the age . I leave no doubt that God has us in a position to advance His Kingdom through Faith Christian Church. This is not a time to remain on the sidelines but rather here the voice of our Lord, enter the playing field, and give our best to God.
