DECLARATION OF REWARD : The Commissioner of Police, Delhi has announced a cash reward of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand Only) which will hold good for a period of one year with immediate effect for any one who may give information/clue(s) to trace out Manoj Bakkarwal @ Manjit @ Mannu s/o Sh. Narain Singh r/o Village Bakkarwala, PS- Nangloi, Delhi or render any help to arrest the accused person, who is escaped from the custody of Haryana police on the way back from Saket Court to Bhondsi Jail on 20.06.2011 and he also wanted in various 60 criminal cases of Delhi, Haryana & Rajasthan.

As and when any information about the accused person is received the same may be sent to Inspr./Computer Centre (Web Site), SCRB, Kamla Market as well as in C&T Branch, PHQ. The Commissioner of Police, Delhi reserves the right to decide finally by whom the reward has been earned and in what proportion it will be distributed amongst various claimants, in case more than one claimant comes forward for the same.

DATED:- 1st July, 2011 BLIND AND SENSATIONAL MURDER CASE OF ENGINEERING STUDENT WORKED OUT WITHIN 48 HOURS, ONE ARRESTED, WEAPON OF OFFENCE AND ROBBED PROPERTY RECOVERED With the arrest of a criminal namely Rajesh Kumar s/o Satya Prakash r/o Mohalla Bhim Nagar, Hardaua Ganj, Aligarh, UP aged 24 years, the North East District police has worked out a blind murder case of an Engineering student, who came to Delhi for appearing in entrance exam of BHEL. The weapon of offence i.e. Knife along with the robbed articles have also been recovered. INCIDENT: On 28.06.11, an unidentified male dead body aged 21-22 years was found lying in a pool of blood in the jungle of DDA opposite Shashtri Park Metro Station in the area of PS New Usman Pur. There were stabs injuries on the body of the deceased and blood was oozing out from the same. The throat of the victim was found slit. Accordingly a case vide FIR No. 228/11 u/s 302 IPC was registered and investigation was taken up. The deceased was quickly got identified as Anand Raut s/o Shri Kishan r/o 122-A, S-2, SCH No. 78, Vijay Nagar, Indore, M.P. TEAM Considering the gravity and sensitivity of the murder case, a team comprising Inspr. Rattan Pal, SI Vikrant, HC Rishi Yadav, HC Mahipal, HC Satpal, Ct. Amit, Ct. Parminder and Ct. Pankaj was constituted under the leadership of Insp. Virender Singh Mor, SHO/PS New Usman Pur under the close supervision of Sh. Chander Kant, ACP/ Seelam Pur to apprehend the criminals at earliest. Services of Special Staff/North East District was also been taken. INVESTIGATION & OPERATION: Initially the case was totally blind. The scene of crime was properly protected and preserved for lifting scientific & forensic evidences. The crime team was also summoned for minutely scanning the scene of crime and aid, assist the local police in lifting the scientific evidences. During search of dead body, one driving license in the name of Anand Raut s/o Shri Kishan r/o 122-A, S-2, SCH No. 78, Vijay Nagar, Indore, M.P. along with one small diary mentioning some mobile numbers were found. With the help of mobile numbers given in the diary, family members of deceased were contacted, who came to Delhi and identified the dead body as that of Anand Raut. Shri Kishan, father of deceased revealed that his son Anand had come to Delhi for appearing in an entrance exam of BHEL. He also provided mobile number of his son, which was found missing after the incident. It came to light that the said mobile is being used in the area of District Aligarh, UP. Immediately the team swung into

action and reached Hardaua Ganj, Aligarh UP and apprehended the mobile user namely Rajesh in a swift action. On sustained interrogation, he spilled the beans. During his sustained interrogation, he disclosed that he met deceased Anand Raut in Malwa Express in Ujjan on 25.06.11, where he got friendly with Anand. Anand told him that he was going to Delhi for appearing in an entrance examination. He accompanied the deceased by taking him examination centre in Janak Puri, Delhi. For a brief period in afternoon, one of Anands friend namely Mahesh Prajapati also joined them, who had also come to Delhi for the entrance exam. All the three went to Ambedkar Dharamshala, Pahar Ganj, Delhi for night halt. Next day in the morning, Mahesh left for Indore separately. Anand and Rajesh moved around in Delhi. In the evening, both of them went to New Delhi area for shopping, where he saw the deceased using his ATM card for shopping. Rajesh got an idea that Anand was carrying his ATM card and he might be having lot of money in his bank account. Accordingly he planned to take him to a lonely place and rob him. As per the plan, he took the deceased to Yamuna Khadar area. Accused Rajesh asked deceased Anand to hand over the ATM card and whatever money he had. On refusal by Anand, he took out knife, which he was carrying already with him and stabbed on the person of deceased Anand. After slitting his throat, he took mobile phone and other belongings of deceased and escaped from the spot. At his instance, ATM Card, Mobile phone, SIM Card, clothes and other belongings of deceased and weapon of offence (blood stained knife) and blood stained clothes, have been recovered. PRESS RELEASE SPECIAL CELL Ist July, 2011 Heroin manufacturing unit unearthed--2 Kg. Heroin seized.
The officers of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Attar Singh, under the supervision of Subhash Tandon, ACP/NR, have busted an interstate narcotic drug syndicate by arresting two main members of above syndicate namely Jakir Hussain (age 45 yrs) s/o Shamshuddin r/o H No. A-465, JJ Colony, Bawana, Delhi and Nazma Bibi (age 26yrs) w/o Md. Akhtar Ali r/o H No. 447, Vill Bawana, Delhi and by recovering 2 Kgs, super fine quality Heroine worth 2 Crores on 01/07/2011 vide case FIR No. 42/11 dated 01/07/2011, u/s 21/61/85 NDPS Act, PS Special Cell, Delhi. There was an information with Inspr. Attar Singh for last 3-4 months that an narcotic drug syndicate was active in Outer & North West Delhi. This information was developed by painstaking efforts of more than three months by a dedicated team of Special Cell/ NR which paid dividends when a few members of this syndicate were identified and it was revealed that members of this gang used to procure crude Heroine from OPIUM growing areas in Naxal effected areas of Jharkhand. They used to bring crude Heroine in Delhi from Jharkhand and by further processing, they used to prepare fine quality Heroine in their rented house at Village Bawana, Delhi. By keeping discreet surveillance upon activities of members of this syndicate, their hideouts were identified. On receipt of a specific information on 30/06/2011 about delivering of Heroine by Jakir Hussain to some contact in the area of Bawana, Delhi, a raiding party led by Insp. Attar Singh and consisting of SI Satyender Vashisht, SI Bhushan Azad, SI Umashankar Tiwari, ASI Ashok, HC Rajbir No. 808/SB, HC Raj Singh, HC Dilawar, HC Hawa Singh, Cont. Vikas Mudgal No. 723/SB was organized and trap was laid at Bawana Chowk, where Jakir Hussain was nabbed at 02:10 AM on 01/07/2011 and One Kg Heroine was recovered from his possession. Jakir Hussain was put under sustained interrogation upon which he disclosed that he is part of big syndicate consisting of notorious Nazma and her husband Md Akhtar Ali and their other associates who used to get supply of crude Heroine from Jharkhand and Lucknow, UP. After the arrest of Jakir Hussain, Nazma w/o Md Akhtar Ali who was trying to flee to West Bengal was nabbed at pointing out of Jakir Hussain near Rithala Metro Station. 500 gms Heroine was recovered from her possession. During her interrogation, she made a startling disclosure about running of a small Heroine processing unit from her rented house in Bawana by her and her husband. Immediately a raid was conducted and 500 gms prepared heroine, was recovered. Two ltrs of acitic anhydride, 2 Kgs barbitone (used in

processing of heroine), various acids and other incriminating chemicals suspectedly being used in processing heroine were also recovered. Mixer grinder, polythene punching machine, various other utensils to be used in preparing/processing of heroine, electronic weighing scales and other material have been recovered from house of Nazma. Further efforts to identify/arrest Mohd. Akhtar Ali, his other remaining associates of above syndicate including Anwar & the Lucknow based supplier of heroine are in progress.

BRUTAL MURDER CASE OF PS PAHAR GANJ WORKED OUT

With the arrest of one Roop Chand aged 50 years s/o Devi Chand r/o JJ Colony Savda, Ghewara, PS Kanjhawala, Delhi, the staff of Central District has solved a brutal murder case of Layak Ram aged 45 years. Head and clothes of deceased and tempo used in the crime have been recovered.

INCIDENT& TEAM On 25.06.11 at 07.25 AM, an information was received at PS Pahar Ganj through a public call that a dead body is lying near urinal Central Park, Jhandewalan, Pahar Ganj. Subsequently, Inspr. Bijender Singh SHO/Pahar Ganj along with staff reached the spot where a headless dead body of a man aged about 40-45 years, stout built, wearing white shirt and green colour underwear was found. There were several injury marks on the body of the deceased. Search for head of the body was made around the scene of crime but could not be found. Consequently, a case vide FIR No. 106/11 u/s 302/201 IPC was registered at PS Pahar Ganj. The dead body was preserved in Lady Harding Hospital, New Delhi for identification and postmortem.

TEAM & INVESTIGATION Keeping in view the sensitivity of the case, several teams were constituted under the supervision of Shri Raja Ram, ACP/Pahar Ganj including SHO/Pahar Ganj, Inspr. Special Staff, ATO/Pahar Ganj and SI K.P. Singh etc.

The information about dead body was passed all over Delhi and NCR. The description of the deceased was also checked with the missing persons details on ZIP Net. There was tailor mark of Decent Tailor Dharam Pura on the shirt of the deceased. Hence, door to door information was passed in various colonies named Dharam Pura in Delhi. After strenuous efforts, a tailor namely Narender Kumar was traced in Dharam Pura, Najafgarh, Delhi who identified the tailor mark of his shop.

On 27.06.11, the deceased was identified as Layak Ram aged 45 years s/o Late Sing Ram r/o Dharam Pura, Najafgarh, Delhi after sincere and painstaking efforts of the police teams. Wife and brother of deceased informed that the deceased was retired from BSF. Now, he was in the business of lending money. He had lent money to various persons including Pawan Mittal @ Bittoo r/o Agar Nagar. On 24.06.11, he had left the house at about 7 AM saying that he would return in the afternoon, but he did not return.

The police teams were sent at Agar Nagar to examine Pawan Mittal @ Bittoo but he was not present in the house since the morning of 27.06.11. His driver Roop Chand and one employee Shatrughan were also absconding which created doubt. Modes of technical surveillance were used and details of bank account of the deceased were also collected. It was revealed that Rs. 40,000/- have been withdrawn from his SBI account and Rs. 63,000/-

have been withdrawn from PNB account through ATM. The CCTV footage of bank ATMs were collected and shown to other employees of Pawan Mittal @ Bittoo. They identified the same as Shatrughan. Further raids were conducted at the possible hideouts of the accused to apprehend him.

On 30.06.11, an information was received by the police team led by Inspr. Bijender Singh SHO/Pahar Ganj that accused Roop Chand might come at Mundka. The police team immediately went there and at the instance of informer, the accused was apprehended. He was identified as Roop Chand r/o JJ Colony Savda, Ghewara, PS Kanjhawala, Delhi.

INTERROGATION Accused Roop Chand was subjected to sustained interrogation in which he disclosed that Pawan Mittal is in business of making pram & toys. He had taken a loan from Layak Ram Pahalwan at a high rate of interest. On default, Layak Ram used to take a fine of Rs. 150/per day per thousand. Now, he was demanding his money back but Pawan Mittal was not in a position to return the money. So, he made a plan to kill Layak Ram. He also included his driver Roop Chand and one employee Shatrughan in his plan and promised them to give handsome money.

On 24.06.11 at about 9:15 AM, Roop Chand along with Pawan Mittal @ Bittoo went to Nangloi to bring Layak Ram in his Tempo. At about 11:50 AM, Layak Ram met them at Nangloi and they all went at the factory of Pawan Mittal. Pawan Mittal went out on the pretext of bringing juice and returned back with banana shake having psychotic substance and offered it to Layak Ram. Thereafter, they went for lunch in a hotel where Layak Ram became semi unconscious. Roop Chand and Pawan Mittal brought him back in the factory. Pawan Mittal took the ATM cards of Layak Ram and then, they killed him and also cut his neck to conceal his identity.

They packed the dead body and head separately and loaded it in the tempo. Further, they threw the head and clothes of deceased in a canal near Chhotu Ram Institute of Technology, Kanjhawala, Delhi and threw the dead body near urinal Central Park, Jhandewalan, Pahar Ganj. Thereafter, they went at ATM Motia Khan, Pahar Ganj where Shatrughan withdrew money from ATM. They also washed the tempo and white washed the room of the factory. On 27.6.11, Pawan Mittal and Roop Chand left for Vaishno Devi. On 30.6.11 while returning from Vaisno Devi, Pawan Mittal committed suicide at Railway Station as he was feeling guilt for committing brutal murder.

At the instance of accused Roop Chand, head and clothes of deceased and tempo used in crime have been recovered. Further investigation is in progress and efforts are being made to nab accused Shatrughan.

GANG OF NOTORIOUS BURGLARS BUSTED


The staff of Police Station Moti Nagar, West District has busted a gang of notorious burglars namely Sandeep Kalra @ Gora and Sunder. The gang was headed by one Sandeep Kalra @ Gora. More than 12 cases of burglaries worked out and case property recovered.

INFORMATION/OPERATION :
Information has been received by Inspr. Raj Kumar, SHO/Moti Nagar that a notorious burglar, Sandeep Kalra @ Gora has constituted a new gang and continuously involved in commission of house burglaries. On this, secret sources were deployed to collect further intelligence about this gang. On 30/06/2011 a specific information was developed by SHO/Moti Nagar that at about 6.30 PM, Sandeep Kalra @ Gora along with his other associates will come on a CBZ motorcycle bearing number DL-6SQ7850 near Milan Cinema, Moti Nagar, Delhi to commit crime. On the basis of this information, a raiding party under the supervision of Shri Raj Singh, ACP consisting of Insp. Rajkumar/SHO Moti Nagar, ASI Ishwar Dayal, HC Rajesh, Ct Sandeep and Ct Zunaid was constituted and deployed near Milan Cinema, Moti Nagar. At about 6.30 PM, two persons came on a CBZ Motor Cycle which was intercepted by police party. On the instance of secret informer both of them were apprehended. They disclosed their names & addresses (1) Sandeep Kalra @ Gora S/o Harminder Singh R/o Shani Bazar Chowk, Shiv Ram Park, Nihal Vihar, Delhi & (2) Sunder S/o Vijay Kumar R/o RZK-2/60, Nihal Vihar, Delhi. On interrogation they disclosed that they have committed many burglaries in West District.

DISCLOSURE & MODUS OPERANDI:

During interrogation, Sandeep Kalra @ Gora disclosed that he belongs to poor economical back ground. He studied up to 4th class and he came in bad company of Suresh and Ajay and started committing petty thefts. Subsequently, he organized a gang alongwith Sunder, Suresh and Ajay and started to commit burglaries and thefts. Sandeep Kalra @ Gora is a handsome youth and has many girl friends. He used to spend the booty of his part on picnics with girls. He also used to go out of Delhi on tour with girls after committing crime. Sunder belonged to a poor economical back ground and was very impressed of the Delhi culture. He is also fond of wine and women. They have committed more than a dozen house burglaries and used to dispose the stolen items through one Ajay R/o Nihal Vihar who is also a gang member. Further raids are being conducted to apprehend the other gang members.

Staff involved in the good work is being rewarded suitably.

Dated 01.07.2011 45 kgs. of Opium worth more than Rs. 27 lakhs seized. 3 arrested by Crime Branch. Opium hidden inside LPG Cylinder and paint buckets. A team of officers of Crime Branch led by Inspr. Rajesh Sharma and consisting of SI. Sunil, SI. Shiv Darshan, ASI. Harcharan, ASI. Ajmer Singh, HC. K P Singh, HC Jai Singh , Ct. Atul, Ct. Kaushal, Ct. Suresh and Ct. Neeraj under the supervision of Addl. DCP Joy Tirkey have arrested 3 persons for trafficking in drugs. 45 kgs of Opium, worth more than Rs. 27 lakhs has been seized. Inspr. Rajesh Sharma of Special Investigation team received information that Opium is being brought into the city by a gang of drug traffickers. On 30/06/11 a trap was laid near Mukund Pur, Azad Pur Road near MCD Colony Delhi and three persons were apprehended while they were travelling in a Honda City Car. They were identified as i) Rajkumar @ Raju (40) s/o Dharampal r/o Karawal Nagar, Delhi ii)Sanjay Pande (34) s/o Manoj Pande r/o Kashipur, Uttaranchal and iii) Ram Prasad (44) s/o Om Prakash r/o Jain Nagar, Begumpur, Delhi. 45 Kgs of opium was seized. Opium was hidden inside an LPG Cylinder and in 3 paint buckets. The Honda City car was found stolen from the area of DBG Road, Delhi. A case under the appropriate sections of the laws has been registered. The three accused persons on interrogation revealed that they had procured opium from Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh from a contact for sale in Delhi and Haryana. The opium was to be supplied to drug peddlers in Sultanpuri, Nangloi and Uttam Nagar of Delhi and also to Karnal, Haryana. They have been indulging in drug trafficking since the past 4 months. 1. Ram Prasad (aged 44 years) s/o Om Prakash r/o Jain Nagar, Begumpur, Delhi - He is the leader of the gang. He is educated up to the 10 th standard. He met Rajkumar and Sanjay in Tihar Jail Delhi. He has a past criminal record. He is involved in cases of smuggling fake Indian currency notes, cheating and theft of various police stations of Delhi. He was in jail and came out on bail in November 2010. 2. Rajkumar @ Raju (aged 40 years) s/o Dharampal r/o Karawal Nagar, Delhi He is educated up to the 10th standard. He has a past criminal record and has at least 16 criminal cases, including dacoity, burglary, robbery, murder, possession of illegal firearms, attempt to murder, gambling and theft, registered against him at various police stations in Delhi. He was arrested for Auto theft in Oct 2010 and sent to jail. He came out on bail in December 2010. He met Sanjay Pande and Ram Prasad at Tihar Jail. 3. Sanjay Pande (aged 34 years) s/o Manoj Pande r/o Kashipur, Uttaranchal - He is educated up to the 8th standard. He met Rajkumar in Tihar Jail. He also has a past criminal record including offences like kidnapping, robbery, dacoity, theft and possession of illegal firearms in Delhi, Uttaranchal and Uttar Pradesh. He was in jail and came out on bail in December 2010. Further investigation in the case is in progress.

Two notorious auto-lifters arrested. One of the auto lifter Waseem @Naseem was also arrested by Mumbai police alongwith Abdul Karim Telgi in fake stamp papers case. Six stolen vehicles recovered.

A team of officers of Crime Branch led by Inspr. J.S. Joon and consisting of SI Sumer Singh, ASI Surender Singh, HC Surender Kumar, HC Naresh, Ct. Anil, Ct. Devi Dayal and Ct. Gajender under the supervision of ACP O.P. Yadav and overall supervision of Addl. DCP Sanjay Bhatia have busted an interstate gang of auto lifters. Two auto lifters have been arrested. 1 Hyundai Santro, 1 Maruti Swift, 2 Honda Activa Scooter and 2 Hero Honda motor cycles have been recovered. Information was received on 29/06/2011 by HC Surender Kumar that a gang of autolifters active in Delhi & UP would come at Shaheen Bagh, Jamia Nagar, Delhi. On this a trap was laid and two persons were apprehended. They were identified as i) Waseem @ Naseem (aged 35 years) s/o Jabeer Ahmad r/o Shaheen Bagh, Jamia Nagar, Delhi and ii) Rajender Nagar (aged 22 years) s/o Dheeraj Nagar r/o Gautam Budh Nagar, UP. The Santro car in which they were traveling was seized. On verification it was found to be stolen from the area of PS Govindpuri, Delhi. Case under the appropriate sections of the law was registered. Their apprehension has led to working out of cases of MV Theft of PSs Govind Puri and Geeta Colony, Delhi. Both the auto-lifters were subjected to intensive interrogation. It was revealed that

Dated : 01.07.11 THREE CHEATS INCLUDING TWO PROMINENT BUILDERS OF POSH SOUTH DELHI AREA AND A PROPERTY DEALER ARRESTED With the arrest of three accused namely Karan Rajput (58 years) s/o Tara Chand Rajput r/o E-72, Saket, New Delhi, Ramesh Chander Kalra (59 years) s/o Kundan Lal Kalra r/o B-113, Shivalik, Malviya Nagar, New Delhi and Balbir Singh Nagar (44 years) s/o Puja Ram r/o F-57, III Floor, Arjun Nagar, S.J. Enclave, New Delhi, the staff of PS S.J. Enclave, South District has busted a nexus of builders and property dealers who entangled an NGO worker namely Pradeep Kumar Samanta s/o Sh. B.B. Samanta r/o 71, Arjun Nagar, New Delhi and cheated him to the tune of Rs. 45 Lakhs for inducing him to purchase a house in Safdarjung Enclave area. INCIDENT/BRIEF FACTS : On 05/05/11, on the basis of complaint lodged by Sh. Pradeep Kumar Samanta, a case vide FIR No. 111/11 u/s 420/120B IPC PS S.J. Enclave was registered against four accused persons namely Karan Rajput, Ramesh Chander Kalra, Balbir Singh Nagar and Sanjeev. The complainant alleged that property dealer Balbir Singh Nagar who is also his neighbour induced him to purchase a property situated at B-7/24, Safdarjung Enclave and introduced him with the builders namely Karan Rajput and Ramesh Kalra. Both the builders along with a broker namely Sanjeev offered the complainant to purchase the property measuring 70 sq. meters for Rs. one crore and fifteen lakh only. As the complainant was not in financial position to purchase such a costly property, both the property dealers offered him financial help also. All the four persons induced the complainant to purchase the property and it would give huge profit in the near future. An Agreement to Sell was signed between both the parties on 20/10/08 and as per agreement Rs. 20 lakhs were paid by the complainant on the same day. The complainant arranged the amount from his LIC Policy and from the savings of HDFC Bank Account. An amount of Rs. 10 lakhs was

borrowed by the complainant from a priest in Satya Niketan on heavy interest. After that over a period of four months, the complainant paid 25 lakhs, which he borrowed from financial institution like Muthoot Jewellery Loan, etc. The complainant had also to sell the jewellery of his wife to pay the amount. However, after obtaining 45 lakhs, all the four accused persons started avoiding the complainant. Meanwhile, the complainant who was in heavy debt by then had to sell his house in Arjun Nagar to repay the loan. On continuous persistence, accused persons informed the complainant that as he could not honour the Agreement to Sell, they had sold the house to another buyer namely Gurmeet Singh Johar. After that the complainant filed a complaint against the accused persons. INVESTIGATION : In order to arrested accused persons, a team consisting of SI Pawan Tomar, HC Dinesh Tyagi, HC Dharampal, Ct. Saleem, Ct. Ramniwas and Ct. Anujpal was constituted under the supervision of Sh. Avtar Singh Rawat, SHO/S.J. Enclave and Sh. Mohinder Singh, ACP/S.J. Enclave. During the course of investigation, 3 accused namely Karan Rajput, Ramesh Chander Kalra and Balbir Singh Nagar were arrested. INTERROGATION : During interrogation, accused Balbir Singh Nagar disclosed that he had had recently come to Delhi from Kolkata and became friendly with the complainant as he was residing in his neighbourhood. He along with his associates induced the complainant to buy a property in S.J. Enclave and convinced him that it would give huge profit in the near future. Subsequently, the deal was finalized and complainant paid Rs. 45 lakhs. After that they started avoiding the complainant and after some time onus of dishonouring the agreement laid on the complainant. The accused persons sold the property in question ie. B-7/124, S.J. Enclave, New Delhi to one Gurmeet Singh Johar who is the present occupant and owner of the property, which the accused had agreed to sell the same to the complainant through an Agreement to Sell. The accused persons sold the property to Gurmeet Singh Johar vide Registered Sale Deed for Rs. 70 lakhs (as per circle rate) in June, 2010. As usually the circle rate of properties are much less than market rates, the accused persons contended that they had to sell the property for Rs. 45 lakhs which is less then from the amount Rs. one crore fifteen lakhs, which was agreed upon with the complainant. ACCUSED ARRESTED:

(1) Karan Rajput (58 years) s/o Tara Chand Rajput r/o E-72, Saket, New Delhi has done B.Sc (Hons.) & B. Com from Delhi University. He is the Managing Director of Infrastructure Company called Accurate Builders having its office at H-18 Green Park, New Delhi. (2) Ramesh Chander Kalra (59 years) s/o Kundan Lal Kalra r/o B-113, Shivalik, Malviya Nagar, New Delhi has done B. Com from Deshbandhu College. He is the partner of accused Karan Rajput. (3) Balbir Singh Nagar (44 years) s/o Puja Ram r/o F-57, III Floor, Arjun Nagar, S.J. Enclave, New Delhi is a school dropout. He is a property dealer in the area of Arjun Nagar and Safdarjung Enclave, New Delhi.

45 kgs. of Opium worth more than Rs. 27 lakhs seized. 3 arrested by Crime Branch. Opium hidden inside LPG Cylinder and paint buckets. A team of officers of Crime Branch led by Inspr. Rajesh Sharma and consisting of SI. Sunil, SI. Shiv Darshan, ASI. Harcharan, ASI. Ajmer Singh, HC. K P Singh, HC Jai Singh , Ct. Atul, Ct. Kaushal, Ct. Suresh and Ct. Neeraj under the supervision of Addl. DCP Joy Tirkey have arrested 3 persons for trafficking in drugs. 45 kgs of Opium, worth more than Rs. 27 lakhs has been seized. Inspr. Rajesh Sharma of Special Investigation team received information that Opium is being brought into the city by a gang of drug traffickers. On 30/06/11 a trap was laid near Mukund Pur, Azad Pur Road near MCD Colony Delhi and three persons were apprehended while they were travelling in a Honda City Car. They were identified as i) Rajkumar @ Raju (40) s/o Dharampal r/o Karawal Nagar, Delhi ii)Sanjay Pande (34) s/o Manoj Pande r/o Kashipur, Uttaranchal and iii) Ram Prasad (44) s/o Om Prakash r/o Jain Nagar, Begumpur, Delhi. 45 Kgs of opium was seized. Opium was hidden inside an LPG Cylinder and in 3 paint buckets. The Honda City car was found stolen from the area of DBG Road, Delhi. A case under the appropriate sections of the laws has been registered. The three accused persons on interrogation revealed that they had procured opium from Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh from a contact for sale in Delhi and Haryana. The opium was to be supplied to drug peddlers in Sultanpuri, Nangloi and Uttam Nagar of Delhi and also to Karnal, Haryana. They have been indulging in drug trafficking since the past 4 months. Profile 1. Ram Prasad (aged 44 years) s/o Om Prakash r/o Jain Nagar, Begumpur, Delhi - He is the leader of the gang. He is educated up to the 10 th standard. He met Rajkumar and Sanjay in Tihar Jail Delhi. He has a past criminal record. He is involved in cases of smuggling fake Indian currency notes, cheating and theft of various police stations of Delhi. He was in jail and came out on bail in November 2010. 2. Rajkumar @ Raju (aged 40 years) s/o Dharampal r/o Karawal Nagar, Delhi He is educated up to the 10th standard. He has a past criminal record and has at least 16 criminal cases, including dacoity, burglary, robbery, murder, possession of illegal firearms, attempt to murder, gambling and theft, registered against him at various police stations in Delhi. He was arrested for Auto theft in Oct 2010 and sent to jail. He came out on bail in December 2010. He met Sanjay Pande and Ram Prasad at Tihar Jail. 3. Sanjay Pande (aged 34 years) s/o Manoj Pande r/o Kashipur, Uttaranchal - He is educated up to the 8th standard. He met Rajkumar in Tihar Jail. He also has a past criminal record including offences like kidnapping, robbery, dacoity, theft and possession of illegal firearms in Delhi, Uttaranchal and Uttar Pradesh. He was in jail and came out on bail in December 2010.

Two notorious auto-lifters arrested. One of the auto lifter Waseem @Naseem was also arrested by Mumbai police alongwith Abdul Karim Telgi in fake stamp papers case. Six stolen vehicles recovered.

A team of officers of Crime Branch led by Inspr. J.S. Joon and consisting of SI Sumer Singh, ASI Surender Singh, HC Surender Kumar, HC Naresh, Ct. Anil, Ct. Devi Dayal and Ct. Gajender under the supervision of ACP O.P. Yadav and overall supervision of Addl. DCP Sanjay Bhatia have busted an interstate gang of auto lifters. Two auto lifters have been arrested. 1 Hyundai Santro, 1 Maruti Swift, 2 Honda Activa Scooter and 2 Hero Honda motor cycles have been recovered. Information was received on 29/06/2011 by HC Surender Kumar that a gang of autolifters active in Delhi & UP would come at Shaheen Bagh, Jamia Nagar, Delhi. On this a trap was laid and two persons were apprehended. They were identified as i) Waseem @ Naseem (aged 35 years) s/o Jabeer Ahmad r/o Shaheen Bagh, Jamia Nagar, Delhi and ii) Rajender Nagar (aged 22 years) s/o Dheeraj Nagar r/o Gautam Budh Nagar, UP. The Santro car in which they were traveling was seized. On verification it was found to be stolen from the area of PS Govindpuri, Delhi. Case under the appropriate sections of the law was registered. Their apprehension has led to working out of cases of MV Theft of PSs Govind Puri and Geeta Colony, Delhi. Both the auto-lifters were subjected to intensive interrogation. It was revealed that
