Objectives: This course aims to familiarize the students with the current trends in information

technologyandmanagementsystems.Thecourseisdesignedtomakethestudentsaware abouttheapplicationsofinformationtechnologyinbusiness. Managementinformation systemsarekeytobusinessfunctionsandstudentsneedafundamentalunderstandingof theprinciplesofsystemstheorytopreparethemtoworkwithandmanageinformation systemswithinorganizations.Emphasisisplacedonmanagementandtechnicalconcepts fundamental to business applications andmanagement control ofinformation systems. Coverage will include transactionprocessing systems that support daily business operations, and management information and decision support systems that aid in planning, organizing and controlling business activities.
