Phase I
The students must do a good literature survey in the given topic. They are also welcome to give their own ideas in the same theme; however they will have to check that the topic idea has already not been allocated. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(1*3=3 Marks) Once the topic is registered, students are required to show and submit the following literature and resource material in the next lab session. i.e. from 16-22nd Aug 2012. i. Details (literature Study) of the topic

Role of Computer science and Information Technology in the growth & Development of this / technical advancements in the given topic. Relevant photographs connecting the both domains.

Phase III
(to be done on Paper) (1+2 =3 Marks) Once you have studied the literature and found out the link between CS & IT and the given project, do the following and discuss with the lab instructor during your next lab session i.e. from 27 th Aug 2nd Sep 2012. i. ii. Make a flow chart of information you would finally depict in your poster. Draft design of your poster, showcasing the way you would depict the information and other relevant content (images, text, Title etc.)

Photoshop)
(1+3 =4 Marks) Evaluation Dates: 17th 22nd Sep 2012 i. Download one-two nice designer fonts suiting your Poster title. Design Poster title bar (Title and a suitable tag tine) for your poster. Study the Relevance, references and effects of various Colors available in the Color wheel and choose a suitable color for the background of your poster. Download one-two nice designer Brushes or create them on your own, and use them in designing the thematic background for your poster.

Design a nice and suitable background for your poster using the above material.

Evaluation Dates: 8th 14th Oct 2012. Design the foreground of your poster which should include all images and illustrations, text, all titles and subtitles. At this stage, you should be almost ready with your final poster in Photoshop. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Evaluation Dates: 12th 18th Nov 2012. Design suitable illustrations for your poster using illustrator.
DESIGN IN ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR
i.
Import the flattened .tiif background created in Adobe photoshop to Adobe Illustrator (File Menu > Place), lock the background layer and add all required vector objects in the foreground to finish the Design. Keep the .tiff file in the same folder as it is linked in .ai file, otherwise the background will not appear, once the .ai file is moved to any other location/machine. For making the Adobe illustrator File ready for printing, convert it into .eps file. (Pls. do not delete the .ai file). You can also take print quality .pdf file to the prnter. File save as - .pdf instead of default illustrator file choose print quality pdf.

Phase VII
softcopies (3 Marks)
(Color Printout of your Final Poster along with all in a folder will be submitted)
For taking the final poster printout, take the whole folder to the printer (including .psd, .tiff, .ai, .eps and .pdf file) as per the availability of the software, he might take out the print from .ai/.eps or .pdf file.) TIP : DO NOT allow him to convert your work to .jpg for the printout as print quality will get deteriorated, once the whole vector work gets converted into raster in a jpg file. Note : Check what all types of paper quality and relevant rates he offer you for printing, take your own decision and get your final work printed.
