Research: Conventional layout of a Magazine front cover

Masthead: TOPOFTHEPOPS Big bold writing to make the title of the magazine stand out. Its written in pink to appeal to a young female audience. Coverlines: show what else is featured in the magazine, the font is smaller than the main coverline. Its used to appeal to a wider audience For e.g. One Direction is used as a coverline to attract more readers whose interests is one direction Image: Famous pop icon- Cher Lloyd. It is positioned in the middle since Cher Lloyd is the main story of the magazine. Cher Lloyd appeals to the magazines target audience 13- 19 year old

Colour: the colour theme for the magazine is pink to make it look girly and attract a young female audience. Pop music is mainly about romance, the pink can connote romance. It also shows the attitude of pop music- its loud, the pink stand out, fun- the bright colours in
