Driving Directions To West Campus

From Greensboro and Points West

• Via 1-85 North: Exit onto N.C. 147 (Durham Freeway).
• Take first exit off Durham Freeway onto 15-501 S. toward Chapel Hill.
• Stay in right lane, and take second exit (#107), marked Duke Univ. West
Campus, to N.C. 751.
• Turn LEFT onto N.C. 751 S., and go under the freeway.
• At fourth traffic light (Duke University Rd.) take a left. Continue past
Wannamaker Dr., Towerview Rd. and Edens Dr. (not marked) to Chapel Dr.
• Turn left onto Chapel Dr. at large stone pillars. Continue to traffic circle
and take circle around to where Chapel Dr. continues. The West campus
quad and the West Campus Bus Stop are straight ahead.

From Richmond and Points North

• Via I-85 South: In Durham, take the left-lane exit (#174B) for US 15-501
South Bypass - Duke University/Chapel Hill.
• Continue on U.S. 15-501 to the fourth exit (#107), marked Duke Univ.
West Campus, a right-lane exit for N.C. 751.
• Turn LEFT onto N.C. 751 S., go under the freeway.
• At fourth traffic light (Duke University Rd.) take a left. Continue past
Wannamaker Dr., Towerview Rd. and Edens Dr. (not marked) to Chapel Dr.
• Turn left onto Chapel Dr. at large stone pillars. Continue to traffic circle
and take circle around to where Chapel Dr. continues. The West campus

From RDU Airport, Raleigh and Points East

• Via I-40 West: Exit onto the Durham Freeway (N.C. 147). Take Durham
Freeway to Chapel Hill St. exit (#13).
• Take right on Chapel Hill St. Continue straight on Chapel Hill St. until it
turns into Duke University Rd. Cross Anderson St. to Chapel Dr.
• Turn right on Chapel Dr. at large stone pillars. Continue to traffic circle and
take circle around to where Chapel Dr. continues. The West campus quad
and the West Campus Bus Stop are straight ahead.

From Chapel Hill

• Via US. 15-501 North. Take 15-501 North, marked Duke Univ./Med Ctr. Do
not take 15-501 Business.
• Take exit for N.C. 751 (#107) marked Duke University West Campus.
• Turn right onto N.C. 751 S.(Cameron Blvd.).
• At third traffic light (Duke University Rd.) take a left. Continue past
Wannamaker Dr., Towerview Rd. and Edens Dr. (not marked) to Chapel Dr.
Turn left on Chapel Dr. at large stone pillars. Continue to traffic circle and
take circle around to where Chapel Dr. continues. The West campus quad

Taking a Taxi or Shuttle from RDU

Airport taxis/shuttles generally charge a set fare from Durham to the airport,
ranging from $25‐$45 one way. Whenever you use a taxi or shuttle, you tip the
driver 10‐15% of the cost of the fare. We also recommend taking a taxi with a
friend so you can split the fare. Taxis below have been recommended by other Duke

Walking Directions to Women’s Center from the West Campus Bus

Stop

• Standing at the bus stop with your back to the Chapel and looking at the
Traffic Circle, turn right and walk to the sidewalk across the traffic circle
road.
• Turn left and walk down sidewalk until you reach the last double wooden
doors in Few Fed Building. (A Women’s Center sign is on the light pole just
outside this entrance.)
• Enter through the double doors, turn right and enter the door marked
Women’s Center.
