Hong Leong Personal Loan 20% Cash Back and Balance Transfer Program Terms & Conditions Hong

Leong Bank Berhad Personal Loan (the Facility) 20% Cash Back and Balance Transfer Program (the Program) is open to all customers (the Customer) of Hong Leong Bank Berhad/Hong Leong Islamic Bank Berhad (the Bank), who submit a new application for the Facility (The Customer).

The Program is only applicable to Hong Leong Conventional Personal Loan and Hong Leong Islamic Personal Financing - i. Cash Back offer is not applicable to Customers who opt for other promotional offerings on preferential rates during the Offer period. Cash Back offer is based on a cash back equivalent to 20% of the total interest paid on the Facility. To be eligible for the Cash Back offer, Customer must pay the facilitys monthly instal lment amount on or before each monthly due date. The first (1 ) Cash Back will be paid every month after the seventh (7 ) month installment and last Cash Back will be paid six (6) months before the final installment. The Cash Back will be credited into the Customers active and valid Facility account one (1) day after the monthly installment due date. The monthly Cash Back which is rounded down to the nearest RM1 will be treated as advance payment in the Facility loan account provided it is not withdrawn. It is the Customers responsibility to notify the Bank in writing no later than one (1) month from the seventh 7th months installment due date for non-receipt of Cash Back. Failing which, the Customer is deemed to have had received and accepted the Cash Back from the Bank and all unclaimed Cash Back after the one (1) month period will not be entertained and will be forfeited. The Customers eligibility for the Cash Back will be disqualified if: i. The Customer fails to pay any installment due, or the sum owing under the Facility when demanded; and/or ii. Early Settlement notice is given by the Customer prior to the Facilitys maturity; and/or iii. The Customer has committed or is suspected of committing any fraudulent or wrongful acts in relation to the use of the Facility Debt consolidation Program is applicable for Credit/ Charge Card or Personal Loan account/s issued in Malaysia that accepts IBG payment from HLB only. Maximum allowable accounts for the Program are 5 accounts per Customer. Minimum total amount for balance transfer is RM3,000 per Customer and is rounded to the nearest RM100 per account provided always that the total balance transfer amount is not greater than the approved Facility amount. In the event the approved Facility amount is insufficient to meet the total balance transfer amount requested for Credit/ Charge Cards, which may be due to the deduction for Stamp Duty and/or Insurance Premium (where applicable) or any other fees payable (if any), the Customer hereby authorizes HLB to perform partial payment which payment shall not exceed the Facility amount.

In the event the approved Facility amount is insufficient to meet the total balance transfer amount requested for Personal Loan accounts, or if the approved Facility amount is insufficient to meet the total outstanding principal amount for the Personal Loan accounts, the Customer agrees that HLB/ HLISB will not perform the payment to the Personal Loan accounts. 11. The Customer hereby authorizes HLB to perform balance transfer in accordance to the sequence provided in the application form. The Customer also authorizes HLB to skip Personal Loan accounts balance transfer in the event that the Facility amount is insufficient to meet the Personal Loan accounts outstanding principal amount, and to make payment to the subsequent accounts. 12. An IBG fee of RM2 per transaction including but not limited to each payment under balance transfer (whether successful or unsuccessful) is to be borne by the Customer and will be deducted from each IBG transactions respectively. 13. The Bank reserves the right at any time with a minimum 21-calendar day notice to add, delete, suspend, discontinue the Program or vary the Campaign and/or the T&C contained herein, wholly or in part at its absolute discretion without assigning any reason whatsoever. 14. For the avoidance of doubt, cancellation, termination, suspension or extension of the Program and variation to the Program Terms and Conditions shall not entitle the Customers to any claims or compensations against the bank for any and all losses or damages suffered or incurred by the Customers as a direct or indirect result of the act of such cancellation, termination, suspension, extension or amendments. 15. The terms and conditions in this document shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia and the customer agrees to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Malaysia.
